Eric Dier does not believe it matters what Tottenham's critics say because nobody is as critical of the team as they are themselves. The Tottenham Hotspur defender has been reflecting on a tough first half of the season for the north London club ahead of the World Cup.

Definitive proof our players don't visit SC match threads.

It’s true. Nobody is as critical of the rest of the team as Dier.

They're few things that irritate me more about a player than when they blame others and try and absolve themselves of responsibility. Hojbjerg for example, holds his teammates to highest standard but he demands more of himself than anybody, very unlikely to see him point fingers when it's his mistake.

Hmm, I dont know if Hojbjerg is a good example. I remember him very publicly roasting reguilon, after he himself messed up the simplest of passes. He was ranting at him and it was far more intensely bullying and deluded than anything I've seen Dier do to a teammate.

I think Eric is probably being honest here and it's probably his biggest problem. Beating himself up after he makes a mistake and not being able to let it go.
