So-called whipping boys are a reflection of the club's inability to clear out deadwood and 'move on' over the last four or five years. It is not Dier's fault and I wish him all the best. Poch warned the club about all this years ago.

Sorry it’s not just the so called dead wood from the past few years- peh and Emerson have recently been targeted and I fear skipp and vicario may be next

Skipp is only gonna get better in my opinion. Last season was not great but am liking what I seen in pre season and against Brentford.

I think a lot comes from the new breed of supporters who demand win now and lacking patience, not helped by purchasing players that were never good enough or just needed a fresh challange, ie PEH and Dier

Dier is far from a press resistant 6 who can play as a single pivot. No way he plays in this midfield.

Well I guess he’s had it then as he certainly won’t be playing as a high line CB.
I just saw it as his only option if we bolstered the midfield say away from home and he could slot into a five man defence as he used to under Poch.
Be interesting to see what happens to him, but personally I would rather see others go before him.
