It's definitely not senior level. What level would you class it as?
U21's lol.
No problems @spurs9 we have different view points on Veljkovic position but what seems evident we both believe Veljkovic's a good prospect.

Yeah, can't argue with that, although I'm not sure Laporte or Gimenez would be as good in the PL playing the system we play, but think Marquinhos would. Still doubt you get any of those under 20m.Laporte, Marquinhos, that Gimenez guy from Atletico....
I'm probably forgetting a few as well.
Fair enough. Personally, I consider U21s, U18s& U16s etc to all be youth levels. I don't think U21's is between youth and senior levels but rather the highest youth level. All good though.U21's lol.

Dier's alredy been brilliant value for money IMO.Yeah, can't argue with that, although I'm not sure Laporte or Gimenez would be as good in the PL playing the system we play, but think Marquinhos would. Still doubt you get any of those under 20m.
Martin Keown did a Q&A for the Daily Mail today and this is what he said about Dier. It's very good seeing praise from people like Keown, even if he did play for the scum.
Kurt Zouma has impressed me. Who is the best young defender in the Premier League? Chris, Reading
Keown:
Now there’s a question. It’s interesting, we’ve got a few great English defenders developing, such as Calum Chambers, John Stones and Eric Dier. All of them can play right back and centre back and are showing similar qualities, maturing nicely.
If I had to pick one, I’d go for Dier. The other evening when Tottenham played Liverpool, Dier faced a player in Daniel Sturridge who has got real pace and will embarrass defenders. Dier made one or two elementary mistakes, but when it mattered most, when Sturridge was through on goal, he got in a couple of blocks and had the pace to match him or hurried Sturridge so he missed.
Dier’s got a good combination of power, strength, and he can play too. He may not be as eye-catching as Stones or Chambers, but he’s quicker than the other two. It’ll be an interesting tussle in the coming years who out of the three plays for England.

He's a brilliant pundit.

Keown always seems to be very fair-minded as a pundit - it's really great to see that a defender as good as him rates Dier so highly.
I think Dier's potential is sky-high - so far, he looks likes the best of all our young players to me.
Because of his pace we may well have a new king on our hands. I actually hope he talks a lot to Ledley, would be nice if he took him under his wing in an advisory capacity.6'2", strong, quick, comfortable with the ball, capable of filling in at full back, seems to have a great attitude and he's English. What's there not to like? The only thing he lacks is experience. Give him 3 or 4 years and he'll be right up there with the leagues best.

I think he's better than Jan already though, mate.Playing alongside Jan and having Ledley in and around the club can only be a good thing. If I were in Dier's shoes I would be taking every opportunity to chew the fat with these two, both of them fantastic defenders in their own right.
