Yeah, look, what Ange is doing probably needs to be done. And arguably has needed to be done for a few years.

However, I hope lads like Dier and Lloris are being treated with as much respect as they can be in this situation. They've been great pros for us and deserve to leave with a bit of dignity.

Postecoglou comes across the kind that won't beat around the bush and has probably had a frank but respectful conversation with Dier about how he is looking for a different type of skillset from his CB's for the direction he wants the team to play in. I think even players who are not in his plans will end up appreciating Ange for being up front and honest.

If Eric turns down munich or dorrmund he doesn't back himself

Either move would be insane for him

Wonder what sort of fee we would get, probably not much more than £10m.

If we want to get rid of the "deadwood" and trim down the massively bloated squad we can't be too picky about fees or what clubs we accept bids from (United for Hojbjerg as an example).

I don't care what the fee is, in my mind I think an England international even with one year left should fetch a bit more than £10m. But in the current circumstances with a few days left of the window we just have to accept whatever comes our way at this point.

I think if he’s done that, that’s all you can ask really. The message mightn’t be what they want to hear but as long as Ange has delivered it himself in a respectful way, he’s done his job.

You hear some horror stories of managers just ignoring players, humiliating them or getting someone else to deliver the message. That’d be stupid IMO because every other player would look at that thinking “f**k, that could be me”.

Be pretty mad if a player deemed not good enough for us moves to Bayern! I know, different systems/leagues etc, but even so...

Joe Hart was not a fan of the "up front and honest" approach...

Happy to see Dier move on - Bayern or elsewhere. He has been a great servant for Spurs - but he has no future, or present here.

Can't be worried if he fits in someplace else - just thankful there is someone in for him, even just to take the wages off the books.
