To ring of fire.

Just like Lesley King,
He makes the Tottenham sing.
He always lifts us higher,
His name is Eric Dier.
Dadadadadadadadaaa.....
Dadadadadadadadaaaaa.
Don't think it's that much of an exaggeration, to be honest. I made the same comparison last season. Nobody is saying that he's as good as Sergio Busquets, just that for his sides, England and Spurs, he fills the same role and is just as important.Blimey, I'm a fan of Dier's passing ability and think he's constantly been improving that side of his game since last season but the English press are going a bit overboard at the moment...
Eric Dier has beeen transformed into England's Sergio Busquets by Mauricio Pochettino

Remember when everyone freaked out and said he was only ever going to be a stop gap "defender" playing in the midfield.Moving him to midfield was a master stroke. He was immense this evening.
He's developing into a brilliant all rounder. His defensive game was always there but he showed real ability when he was at RB with some lovely deliveries into the box. In midfield he reads the game very well and takes up good positions but it's the development of his offensive game which is most exciting. I don't think parallels with Busquets are too wide of the mark. He's an absolute gem and with his combative mentality is a shoe in for future Captain if we can keep hold of him. Stunning purchase for 5m.
I read somewhere that the French media think dier has been the worst player in the tournament, apparently all he does is pass sideways and backwards.
He will not be going anywhere I reckon: Our next Dave Mackay and skipper ?I see BBC text this morning is saying Dier's performances at The Euros have caught the attention of Bayern Munich.
With the rate that this lad is improving, I think it really is just a matter of time until one of the truly massive clubs start making their interest known.

Can't see a recent thread but tell me if I'm wrong.
What an exciting young player - hard, dedicated, resilient, no little skill. I really like this young man.
