Blimey, I'm a fan of Dier's passing ability and think he's constantly been improving that side of his game since last season but the English press are going a bit overboard at the moment...

Eric Dier has beeen transformed into England's Sergio Busquets by Mauricio Pochettino

Don't think it's that much of an exaggeration, to be honest. I made the same comparison last season. Nobody is saying that he's as good as Sergio Busquets, just that for his sides, England and Spurs, he fills the same role and is just as important.

He's developing into a brilliant all rounder. His defensive game was always there but he showed real ability when he was at RB with some lovely deliveries into the box. In midfield he reads the game very well and takes up good positions but it's the development of his offensive game which is most exciting. I don't think parallels with Busquets are too wide of the mark. He's an absolute gem and with his combative mentality is a shoe in for future Captain if we can keep hold of him. Stunning purchase for 5m.

It's great to see a player developing an all round skill set. Actually seeing a player improve from raw talent into the real deal is a pleasure to behold. So many times, i've seen players with that promise, falter and remain mediocre. If he carries on his current learning trajectory he will be considered world class by many. I don't think he's too far off.

I see BBC text this morning is saying Dier's performances at The Euros have caught the attention of Bayern Munich.

With the rate that this lad is improving, I think it really is just a matter of time until one of the truly massive clubs start making their interest known.

I read somewhere that the French media think dier has been the worst player in the tournament, apparently all he does is pass sideways and backwards.

Good. With a bit of luck everybody else will think the same and nobody will be the least bit interested in bidding for him.

It goes without saying, I really hope you're right. It's just experience, I guess!

I've come to learn that I/we can pretty much predict the outcome once one of the massive clubs come in for our players. We are pretty powerless to prevent the player from going, should he wish to, which means Levy has to, once again, attempt to screw the interested club for as big a fee as possible.

God I hope he doesn't want to leave us.

Makes me want us to win even more tomorrow, so they can see just how shit Dier is against them next Sunday!
