Could do very well in a league more suited to his game now. Better than even Bayern might hope.

Luckily O'Keefe dug up this interview because I couldn't be bothered to try and find it and it's one of the things I'll always remember about Eric.

Edit - ok it's not the interview itself and spurs.to doesn't seem to exist any more but the point stands. :cautious:

Top move for all parties. He's still only 29 (ok, 30 next week), plenty of time have a great career in Germany.

Yeah but he's a model professional and it's not like Bayern are skint.

If we couldn't agree a fee with Bayern it would be only right we allow him to honour his contract until the summer. I'm not one of those who wanna shit on loyal servants because they are not flavour of the month.
I wouldn’t have seen it as shitting on him.

This would been allowing a loyal servant to go to a top club isn’t of holding onto him for a transfer fee.

Happy for him to get this move. In hindsight we really should have sold him for £40/50m when Mourinho wanted him at United. However, he has been a great servant for the club and you could never question his commitment to the cause.
One thing we need to learn is to sell players when their stock is high. Dele and Dier being a prime example.

I know I might get slated but if we had a crazy offer for any1 excluding Maddison I personally would consider it.

Don't forget he scored the winning penalty vs Colombia at the 2018 world cup for England's first shoot out win in years.

Seems salty about dragusin not joining "things can fall through" :ROFLMAO:

To be honest I'd it's more about the Fulham lad Palhinha whose move broke down after he had done his medical and taken the pics in Bayern jersey etc

Definitely a tinge of sadness about how his career panned out here, but I'll always love this man for giving it 100% every time he pulled on the shirt. Proper COYS, can't wait to see him back as a fan.

Good luck, Eric. Will always remember his winner against West Ham on his debut and that wonder strike against Manchester City. Under Poch, was one of the best DM's in the country.
