Fair play to him. In that circumstance he played really well. Still a role for him here this season and I think his experience matters now.

Such a shame it was offside. That was a fantastic finish.

He came into a side down to ten in a high line after not playing really all season and worked his ass off.

Deserves so much more respect.

Really impressed with him tonight, thought he did really well and even got a (very brief) chorus of "I love Eric Dier" out of a few in the South Stand.

Performance tonight just makes me even more embarrassed by those so called "fans" who treat the bloke like shit. Might be third/fourth choice now but damn the bloke bleeds lily white

I thought he'd find it impossible to play a high line. He bloody did it in a team with only 9 men.

Massive respect.

Him and PEH really helped give us some stability when they came on.
Yeah fair play thought they were excellent. Eric was massively unlucky with the disallowed goal.

Fair play to him.

He's certainly bought into Ange's way. Looked comfortable on the ball and didn't panic. Some finish that too.

He did ok tonight. Came on and played for the team. Never questioned his professionalism and commitment and today was another example of the man he is.

I’d be worried if he has to step in for vdv though. His lack of pace just isn’t suited to ange’s style.

We're definitely going to need him for the next 3 games. Will be interesting to see who Ange puts alongside him.

So if Ange won’t compromise on his philosophy we’ve got a good few weeks at the Circus to look forward to

Was that before or after Chelsea sorted their shit out and scored 3 goals?

Respect to the boy
but the man he was supposed to mark scored 3 and could have had 5
But I blame the Manager.
Dier tasked with an impossible job given his lack of pace.
