an unpopular view im sure
After the hijack attempt...unless Eric really wants to go there id rather keep him for 6 months ....
Id like to send bayern a message
id rather have dier than skipp in DMF....
tell BM to do one........
sell skipp for 20m hojbjerg for 20m get connor g. for 40m and for those that want Dier gone sell or give him to Juve.....
Picking up lloyd kelly along the way would do no harm.....

Never let emotion get in the way of a good business decision. If Bayern want Dier, we should make the deal.

Its good business for Spurs to move Dier on - given that he is not in Ange's plans, and we can get the wages off the books.

Or and hear me out, we could sell Dier to Bayern, while opening a spot for another Non-HG player and saving on his wages, which could allow us the opportunity to sign another player to help the team.

If we really want to send Bayern a message, I think the best way to do is that is create a team capable of beating them in European competition.

I think sending them Dier is punishment enough!

In fairness, they're paying us about the same as we paid when we originally bought Dier. I've got a lot of time for Dier, so I hope the switch might help him find a bit of form and we all win out of this.

Why would Bayern going for our target impact our decision to let Dier go there? They tried to sign a player who was available, they did nothing wrong. If you want to talk about a proper hijack ask Everton about Sissoko and Danjuma.

If Bayern get Dier they will not only use him as CB but also CDM... they are not happy with the lack of leaders and characters in that department... and Goretzka is often injured as well... Kimmich hasn't been the new Schweinsteiger they hoped for. And that's about it really...
Good to know he can stink the place out in two positions. Versatility.

Indeed. Lets keep hold of a player we don't want and aren't going to play to spite a team not in our league and are no threat to us whatsoever.

How exactly would this work for the team though?
Well, it doesn't but he doesn't deserve criticism for that. It's out of his hands that he's not in favour. He's been out of the picture since Ange came in but he's been professional and come in and done a job despite other non CBs being picked ahead of him. He's not complained or stunk out the place. He's been a model professional.

old habits die hard ......we used to have so many of them.....dead wood all over the place....now we only have Tanganga, Ndombele, Rodon...i heard Dier for all his faults was an asset around the club, with 4-5 months left on his contract, just prefer to aim him at Roma,Juve or Napoli...on a serious note however if he wants to go to Bayern of course we should let him go there....
also IMHO I think we need to look at any other players that Ange believes are sub par and show them the exit too!
The squad needed strenghening and still does, my guess is at some point in 2024, we will also lose Skipp PEH Gill, Reguillon in addition to the 3 players above...Richy i not so sure about as if he clicks he can play a role

I’m sorry, this is entirely off topic, and I don’t know how I never thought of this before.

I suddenly want an 80’s style action movie with old Bilbo titled: “Old Hobbits Die Hard.”

Fixed, now starting Eric Dier as the Hobbit on a murdering rampage.

I genuinely admire this level of petty spite - not joking, meant sincerely - but in this case, nope.
