Wait- Eriksen wants to leave us? When did this happen? Wow I'm shocked- I had no idea- he seemed so happy here.

I just don't know what to say...I had him down as a future club ambassador after his Spurs career was finished. I'm just floored by this news.

When did this begin? I mean I had no idea he even had any issue(s) staying with us! Shocking...I'm devastated. I don't know what to say...I just cannot imagine him not wanting to remain with Tottenham until the end of his playing days...

Just when you think you know someone they up and surprise you. Never in a million years could I ever have imagined he would even contemplate leaving our great club. Gobsmacked.

He gave us the best 7 years of his career - a lifetime in elite sporting terms - and for most of that he busted a gut on the pitch, and performed exceptionally. Never caused a moment's trouble. Was oft cited as the fittest player at the club. He cost us £12m iirc. I have nothing but good things to say about him and wish him the best in the future.

This has already been touched on but my memories will be tainted by the last 12 months, so I'm glad he will be taking corners somewhere else. Have some good memories though including the 2 free kicks he scored at Swansea in 2015 to keep bringing us back on terms. At the time he gave the feeling he was as good at free kicks as anyone around.

Apart from CL most of the team were crap for the last 12 months. Everyone just seemed to zero in on eriksen because he made it clear he wanted to leave.

That and corners mate. Is what the majority of SC wanna hang on to. Some real arguments huh, laughable.

Never mind his 69 goals and 89 assist in 298 games for the club over 6.5 years. And being the player with #2 most assist and #3 most created chances in the Premier League for the last DECADE

The internet nowadays, truly madness.

Get a fucking grip.

I think it's down to the sheer plummet in form for us, while shining for Denmark, the lacklustre displays, lack of effort and belief to be better than he actually was. He retracted into his shell when he needed to be a leader.

That's why people are sore with Eriksen.

Myth - he's been pretty average for Denmark as well.

Can't understand why he wants Inter and not to stay here. Sure, I understand a change in culture, a chance to win something but Inter aren't particularly better than us, they're hardly Barca or Madrid level.

If we get money for him we better put it towards a DM
Maybe he just wants out of the UK?? I certainly wouldn’t blame him, he has a family - there are many better places to bring them up than London. (No offence londoners ?)

While being rich, i wouldn't say there were that many in europe. Depends what you want though i guess.

Denmark, Sweden, Norway but they hardly have top sides. Of course a nice climate is acceptable and after three months of continual rain maybe he has had enough of England so Italy seems like a good idea. Anyway money apart the UK is now less alluring for any Europeans.

i think a move is the best thing for both us and him, he has been brilliant for us over the years and yes the last 12 months or so have been disappointing. I just think he had his head on a move to Barca, Madrid or whoever and for whatever reason it didn't happen and it is hard for him to get motivated again even if he does try his best and he has had some very good moments.
but time for him to move on as he wants and needs the change.

Milan is at the foothills of the Alps close to the Swiss and Italian borders - winter months Dec-Jan-Feb are cold wet and foggy.

Hes just coming into his prime years now.

We've had him for the MOST years but I dont know if you can say best years until the rest of his career plays out.

Had our moneys worth though for sure.

I think he has the way he's playing. His lack of quality on the ball is killing us.

And apart from the games when he was the worse player on the pitch, no effort not even in his passing which just kept going to the opposition, kept losing the ball. Every one else, even the sorry Aurier had games where people admitted they played well but no one could say that of Eriksen apart from arguebly moments in the last 2 and half games. Sorry I dont agree with you.

You can arp on about history all you want mate but what matters is what is happening now. Thats why Wenger doesnt manager Arsenal anymore, Mourinho Chelsea and Pochettino Spurs. You need to get a grip if you cant see there are other points of view which are perfectly valid.

Eriksen is walking for nothing and is going to gain a fortune signing for Madrid on a free.
