It hurts seeing that draw. With the players at our disposal this cup should have been ours.

Our record in this competition really has been a disgrace over the years.

Even against Villareal, I wouldnt fancy Dier Sanchez or our defenders tbh

Gooners will win this now. Sickening.
,
They managed to slide past City in the FA semi last year and then upped the ante to beat Chelsea again in the final which made us qualift for this damn competition.

Fucking sorcery at work.

Raging here still.

Agreed, although it’s not just the defence that is the problem, it’s also the lack of any sort of cohesion in midfield or attack.

With Kane, Son and Bale we could have relied on the attack to get enough goals without even worrying about how many we let in at the other end.

Instead we’ve been left with a team that can’t even string 3 passes together...

Just seen the draw. What utter pricks this club is.

Arsenal will win it now, just you watch.

The biggest frustration for me is over the years we have struggled so much to eventually get knocked out early but whenever Utd/Arsenal/Chelsea play in this they breeze through it. Fucking annoying.

Genuinely annoyed that we've not won it whereas Chelsea and United have. If Arsenal win this year I'll be so fucked off. After our shit show of a season with nothing to show for it (unless we somehow beat City), this will be salt in the wound.

It was depressing enough when we lost our CL spot due to a rival winning it despite finishing higher than them in the league. To see Arsenal get a pass to the CL next year and another trophy despite being bollocks comparatively to their past, or at the very least no better than us, will just make for another unbearable season.

In the semi-finals, the winner of the Granada v Manchester United tie will play Ajax or Roma and Dinamo Zagreb or Villarreal will play Arsenal or Slavia Prague.
They arent going to kick Prague out for racism? Dont want to see Arsenal go through obviously but they absolutely should be given the free pass.

I hate reading this thread. It makes me so angry at Jose. I thought we would make the final, he done it with United so thought he would do it with us

I can't see them kicking them out.
I don't think anyone else heard what was said, so it's one person's word against another.

They need to ban this hand over the mouth talk.
If it's something they don't want to be caught saying, then they probably shouldn't be saying it

Arsenal prioritised the competition and put out a full-strength team. We rotated in the likes of Winks, Sissoko and Dele because we're still in a Top 4 race. If Arsenal win this, it's a clear sign we made the wrong decision - and it's a mistake we keep repeating under different managers because we're too big for our boots and wrongly think the Europa League is below us.

Man U did pretty much the same in 2017 with JM in charge so it's all a bit odd.
