It's a dangerous scoreline for Atletico, do they just keep Arsenal out and invite pressure or look to score with the risk of Arsenal nicking an away goal? It's looking unlikely for Arsenal but it's not over yet.

Good to see more comments like this, I know it's not over but all I'd been reading on here is how Arsenal were gonna win the competition!
Yup. I never got how assured people were of it. Athletico have always been a tall order. Arsenal are capable of still going through, but the way everyone seemed to think it was nailed on because Wenger is going seemed had me scratching my head.

AM have weathered the storm with ten men and scored a crucial away goal. Scum have got to beat them away by two goals now. Unless half of AM's squad get injured in the interim I think there's probably only about 20% chance of that happening.

Keep 11 men on the pitch for 88 minutes. Griezmann wins it in 89th.

Costa gets 10 reds by 92nd. Spares the keeper.

I don't think it's dangerous for them at all really. They are experts in how to play these close games. Arsenal on the other hand have mistakes in them, that's all Atletico need to play for.

Atletico Madrid has only conceded 4 goals in the League at home this season, Arsenal have no chance

They just need to win. Or did you mean to say draw by more than 1-1?

I gotta admit I was worried when Arsenal scored. Against ten men, Arsenal CAN score more and if it becomes 2-0 or 3-0, it becomes a very difficult scoreline for Atletico who aren't exactly a team who like to come from behind, they prefer control.

I'd been baffled too mate. Like you say, Arsenal are capable of going through still and always had a chance to win, this is football after all but this was never an easy tie. You would have thought they were playing Young Boys the way people were talking.

I think they just do what they normally do. With their natural way of playing they concede very few, it's not like they're a naturally attacking team who now has to wonder if they should be a bit more defensive.

Yeah, sorry. I don't see AM not scoring at home so I figured the scum would need a couple to be assured of avoiding penalties.

Yeah, that's true. But they showed what they can do with ten men. The second leg will see them with home advantage and an extra man. Arsenal could have and should have scored more after the red card. That's why a lot of scum fans feel they have blown their chance I think. If the scum don't score away then AM can win by a one goal margin, no?
