I didn’t realise they’d already started it, I thought it was still at the planning stage!

An Everton fan I was speaking to, reckons they haven't got funding for the 2nd phase of development. They started under the assumption that they would be able to obtain it later on down the line but they are now facing trouble getting it.

No idea how true this is, I've not looked into anything Everton. The guy seemed rather miffed about it all though.

That’s correct Moshiri hasn’t been able to or hasn’t tried to get funding for the second stage of construction. Mad.

And wasn’t Usmanov putting money into them too? Without that they could be in all sorts of trouble

Maybe Liverpool will offer to buy it off them at a knockdown price

Honestly think it looks small and bland. On the inside it looks utterly bland and nondescript, outside not too bad.

The TVs over the goals remind me of WHL. Just an older stadium look.

That glazed area at the back of the stand also reminds me of WHL.

Looks great. The build quality looks up there with the best! Yet they didn’t sand blast or clean the bricks up on that tower, yet installing glass doors and a brand new rail to that roof terrace. Love the new next to the old, and with all the decorative nods to the history and location of the site it will be definitely iconic

Stayed in the titanic hotel across the road not long ago. Can’t say I was blown away looking at the new stadium

Yeah, looks like it'll be tidy enough and increase revenue for them but eh. Means to an end and at least it's nice and tight so should create a good atmosphere.

Shame to see Goodison go though. That and old WHL were two of the last remaining savage intimate old grounds left.
