I could very easily see Lucas or Bergwijn adapting to a RWB role. Not sure Emerson has the attacking instincts required.
I wouldn't rule Doherty out of that role, either. He likes to ghost into the box, and make the overload. If Conte is all he's cracked up to be, he'll be finding the strengths of all our players and utilising them.

Amazing how a few extra 0’s can convince a manager to join a club

If they can manage to handcuff Levy to the radiator and give him the majority of what he asks for, for the next 18 months we might have a chance!!

Davies might just be ok as a left centre back back-up. Winks time is up, not strong at any particular thing (apart from slow sideways football), and Dele is literally on a 2 month trial til January.
no more might be ok as back up. if he isnt good enough to start for Spurs then out.

Italian reports saying Kessie will be agreed for summer on a free. I would've pushed for Jan but then clocked he will be at AFCON so makes sense to get the free.

From what I was told he's taken less than he wanted in the Summer. This might be down to length of contract and this seasons expectations etc, but he's not come here because we've thrown cash at him as far as wages are concerned.

The most encouraging thing about Conte is his record at taking over from clubs coming off a poor season. I have no idea what he will do but will just sit back and trust in him. If that means he starts the likes of Winks and Doherty then so be it. This guy deserves faith in what he does.

Do we know what backroom staff are coming with him? I know that was an issue in the summer

Well said. Reliable sources have said he has watched the amazon documentary to get a good idea of players behind scenes.

I assume he will be horrified by Winks concerns about how tough Mourinho's training would be and Dele and Tanguy attitudes.

Have a feeling he is going to love Dier.

It's interesting that when we thought we had the pick of top managers in the summer so many on here didn't want Conte. Most thought he would upset the dressing room with his strict rules and tantrums. Well the dressing room is so F****d up that Conte is just what we need to sort out the prima donnas and get our team back to something that resembles a football team. Hopefully he'll fill in a couple of key position in the January window and shift a few out and a couple more in and out in the summer.
I know we've been here before and it so often ends in tears but for Gods sake it has to happen this time......Doesn't it?

I think Davies is a better LCB in a 3 than he is a LB in a back 4. He might even be our best option at LB ... until we sign De Vrij or Batisto ;)

AliG said 5 - let's see if he gets it.

And when he was announced the club said at the bottom. We will update on the board staff soon...

It's pretty easy to envision Conte watching this documentary over and over and over again seething at Mourinho and thinking, "This idiota doesn't know what he''s doing. i can get far more out of this team then he is getting!"

The guy isn't a big name ex player who wings it. He's a meticulous student of the game who is incredibly detailed when it comes to coaching, tactics, movement and so on.

We will soon see which of our players have been underperforming and which simply aren't good enough.
