He must be wondering what he’s signed up for with these players.

I was watching him all game and he lived every kick today. I would love to know how many players he pinned up against the wall at half time.

I have no doubt in my mind that if we back this guy and he is given time to work with the squad we will be a force to be reckoned with.

The only thing that slightly concerns me in short term is that with all the talk of extra hard training esp cardio work & change in diet to achieve specific body weight % - the body takes a battering and can be quite depleted (like any boxer trying to make weight) Obvs there are all scientists and nutritionists etc but it will take their bodies time to adjust, so in short term the intensity is likely to be up and down including performances. Just hope they can take positives from the process and the win and kick on.
He isn't trying to get them to a specific body weight %, he is trying to get them fit and working hard in games will aid in getting them fit.

There is a huge different between getting fit and a boxer trying to make weight.

In Conte's first 6 games in charge of Chelsea, they conceded 9 goals and only kept 1 clean sheet. In the next 12 games after, they kept 10 clean sheets and conceded 2 goals.

Think that was very much down to the change in formation rather than fitness, though. They were bound to already be super fit after a Conte pre-season.

They stopped conceding pretty much from the exact moment he changed from a back 4 to 3 atb and immediately went on a mad 13 game winning run which won them the league.

I feel like it's been a while since we've had one but imagine this mad man's reaction when we score a last minute winner

I’ve never been so hooked on a manager, was my favourite manager outside of Spurs prior to joining us and was always concerned that him and Levy working together would end in an explosion. I don’t know what Levy and Paratici said or changed to convince him to be here but I’m so happy they did. I am fully getting ahead of myself in my mind of what we can achieve if we back this manager.

Maybe a false equivalence granted but changes in diet and increased intensity in training can take time to adjust to which can lead to a depletion in energy etc. in short term it’s an issue until body adjusts. I had certainly seen something around wanting them to be at correct %s but maybe that was some BS.

When the rumors of Antonio 1st started coming out, it was easy to support it Given our sorry state of affairs. I wasn't fully on board to be honest as i had a bit of skepticism. after what we've seen In such a short order of time, it's hard not to think that this was Exactly what we needed.

Proper manager. Showed Desire..Passion..changed things to win the game. Total opposite to Nuno. He is a born and bred winner
