Our fanbase has turned into the most moany and impatient of any I see nowadays. Every thread on here is just full of moaning and negativity. Its pretty much the same people just saying the same points over and over again as well.

Get behind the team and the manager until the end of the season and then some of you will most likely get your wish....and then go back to moaning again about the manager etc in the next 12-18 months time.

Why do you think that might be?

Why would they have hidden their opinions in the first place? I thought that pundits are supposed to give opinions?
It’s just like this across the spurs podcasts, fan forums and twitter: people in the press like to keep their powder dry so they don’t look foolish and then when things unfold their minds are truly made up. Also a mix of when the football is dull and you get results there’s more of a split: I must admit when I watched the 6-2 Leicester game at the lane at the time I was surprised when an old fella a row down from me said he still didn’t like it. Stating the obvious here but it’s the results and style of play then you look at them lot down the road and things are falling into place nicely for them.

For me, it’s one of those shrug your shoulder moments just like with Jose & Nuno. It will all be mutually wrapped up in the summer and rinse repeat. I will still keep my ST and go to games with the hope that kills us all.

Looking forward to seeing Porro again at least. Not worried about the signing at all as I think there's something there for sure and as good as Emerson has been I think Porro may have a bit of craft from that side that we don't usually see.

Most definitely topped up by social media and reactionary podcasts which are like most things these days clickbait and attention seeking: points scoring against one another & those wanting to stand out as I am the best man at wanting ENIC / Levy out I am the best at wanting this player in and out. Most want to emulate Arsenal Fan TV at the height of their team’s mediocrity.

The only podcast I can tolerate is LWOS and I have time for Chris Cowlin most of the time.

I’ve been fairly fed up since the highs of the peak Poch years and then the hard fall since after the CL final in 2019. I’ve kind of got used to this impatience from the fan base over recent years (totally understandable by the way as we’ve been so close) and will have to admit when summarising we are still in an alright position: I’m more of a meh shrug your shoulders fan (I am sure this is the majority).

I honestly couldn’t say I want this or that manager a part from us all being appeased by the owners when Poch inevitably returns. Just a sense of here we go and never a dull moment in the soap opera that is our club.

One of my big issues with the current setup is that you cant expect fringe players to play once a month at best and perform at their best immediately. Then as soon as they don't perform immediately, they are back on the bench for another month.

Meanwhile Perisic and Son keep getting more than their fair share despite not playing well for the most part this season.

That's probably my biggest gripe at the moment. I like to take everything into account when I judge a player/manager, and there are certainly a good number of extenuating circumstances as to why things aren't shall we say well-oiled right now. The insistence though of playing Son, and to a lesser extent Peresic is certainly not something easily explained.

I know Twitter can be a shit show and not always a great gauge of rationale fans but alot of what I'm seeing, even from accounts like fighting cock, seem to now want Conte out. Be very interesting to see what sort of reaction he gets when next in dugout. I don't expect booing or any bullshit like that but I don't expect many will be singing his name.

It's never dull at spurs is it

I wish it was. Just want to be a normal club without all the drama every fucking day.

Today being a case in point. Son was dropped to the bench for 2 league games, gets 90 mins despite being comically bad against Sheffield United, then is straight back in the first team having done nothing to earn it. I’d still rather give Richy more chances and bring Sonny off the bench

Before our game there was a stat that they were in the top 5 for defence in Europe. It was to do with xg etc. I’ll try to dig it out when I have time
XG ie expected goals because under the circumstances they didn’t expect Spurs to concede!

I bet we’re not in the top 5 on actual goals conceded! 😂

Yep, you're right. The end is inevitable as much as the end of the next appointment and so on. As you say, we keep going because there is always that hope.

Dominate the 1st half, opposition manager.changes their system, we get overwhelmed in midfield and do we tweak what we do! Do we fuck. This is not elite management

So to recap…. We were on top, the opposition made adjustments, we didn’t and gradually got worse then we’ll make a bunch of subs after we’re already behind.
Say what you want about Conte, but he’s the worst manager at using subs I have ever seen. I thought Jose was bad, but Conte is something else
