Big game coming up. It's the hope that kills. So despite Conte's underperformance this season, and the grim performances based on rubbish tactics and style, here's hoping he can rally a flagging side and transform our season. He's not exactly Mr motivator in pre match comments, but hopefully there is still a window of opportunity for him to drive this side to several consecutive wins. Starting with Milan.

100%, as much as I’ve supported him throughout his tenure, we need to see some of that Italian fire and passion today from both him and the players.

Let’s see if they really have the bottle to turn this season around and do something positive for the fans and I would hope that this in turn gets us some Antonio’s ringing throughout the stadium.

Are you kidding me?

He's probably the most animated manager we've ever had on the touchline.

Poch is a close second but he had his quite moments too especially when we were losing.

It only fell off when he got sick, and let's be honest no one is going to be animated when they have a ruptured gall bladder.

And I have Tuchel as an eye witness.

going by how the team plays it's the most timid we have had of the past 3 managers (not including nuno)
so yeh, I'm being serious he might be animated but the team has absolutely no dog in them

Oh 100% we have a team filled with wet tissue paper but I'm hoping for once they have some fire in their bellies.

Or that Romero decided to Cuti Kick the shit out of them after the weekend. That should stir up some passion.

I know mate and if this was the only case of this happening I'd be in full agreement. I understood the risks with him. You have to admit though every single manager has said the same thing I asked for A,B,C I got X,Y,Z, and that's why it is a problem.
Rinse and repeat. The Daniel Levy Daz doorstep challenge.

Personally, I pray to the heavens he sells up. Going nowhere on the field whilst he's at our club.

Until such time, I'll not be participating in the Daniel Levy and Joe Lewis sweepstakes.

No wonder Kane wants out....Son and Hugo too

Do you even watch the games?

He's got the crowd 'staff dive' down to a tee. Man City away (21/22), Harry Kane winner, last seconds, was a thing of celestial beauty!
the team has absolutely no dog in then, less than under Mourinho and Pochettino, easily

Sorry Trix, thats again a too simple way look at it and I really appreciate your opinions and information on here. No business decision with that sort of money involved has just to be done because we need to back someone so he could maybe do a bit better for six months. Lets get Zaniolo, Conte leaves in the summer, and we complain we have another deadwood player no other manager can deal with. Thats all part of the weighing up process. And a manager also has to be flexible with new signings. There are more than 1 or 2 players around that can improve the team. Some clubs like Ajax or right now Union Berlin or Freiburg find them every year on the cheap. Surely another level but they are ready to compromise and have working structures.
Why is the point dismissed or not mentioned that Conte got backed with a 20m Bentancur, a 30m Kulusevski, a 50m Romero, a 60m Richarlison, a 25m Bissouma or a 40m Porro?
And as I keep saying being reluctant on certain signings is understandable. Bringing in a completely different option who plays a totally different position or is a miles below the standard required because it's cheap is not ok. I'll repeat what I've said in other posts every manager has said after they've gone "I asked for ABC and got XYZ".

Yep.

I think signing Porro took some heat off that was building up but now out of FA cup, as you say if we lose tomorrow and start slow or go a goal behind at the weekend the crowd will start turning mainly on Levy.
On Levy you say? What like some hardly audible chants? Sorry from one away game where it was clear I've heard nothing. Embarrassing really

I'm sure that's true. But I wonder how may of these managers' top picks were ever truly available to the club. I don't suppose a player like Gvardiol is telling his agent to get him a move to Spurs. We would be a long way down on a list of clubs to join, even in the Premier League.

Does he go tomorrow if we lose tonight or will he get a stay of execution
I would be very surprised if he went tomorrow unless we get absolutely destroyed. Trix did mentioned he was on shaky ground and tonight could be decisive but he also mentioned that one or two at the top wanted to stick with him. With that in mind I think it will more depend what happens in the next few league games if we do loose tonight and im sure the nature of how we play will be taken into consideration as well. If we loose but play well then I think that will stay any execution. Personally tho I think we will win tonight, AC are really not playing well at the moment, more so then us and they are mentally very fragile. I would expect the home advantage to help us scrape through unless the plays really down tools.

so in effect if we lose tonight/go out that will be bad for Conte esp if AC are eemed to be in a bad place too

Well he's gone what I consider to be full strength tonight(when all are on form) so lets see. They've obviously prioritised this game considering the rotation over the last week or so.

I don't think we'd sack him tonight with a game at the weekend, I think we'd likely wait until there's a week between games to minimise the impact on match preparation.
