And do what?

Every fan knows Levy is an issue. So as A&C says re: Conte. Great. Now what? We all know Levy is an issue. We don't have to keep being told approximately every 92 seconds the next manager, and the one after, and the one after that is going to run into the same issues. We know. We get it. So now what? A 50 person protest? A few chants at games?

Yeah that'll show Levy alright.

Honestly :sigh:

Well no but for me Iā€™m done, my last game was against Milan and Iā€™ll sell my season ticket next season if contes not here.

Stopped being enjoyable a long time ago.

To trivialise the whole ā€œwhose fault is it?ā€ debate.

Levy is a big part of the problem but AC isnā€™t without blame. The football weā€™ve been subjected to this season has been fucking horrible.

We have no identify (unless sit-back and concede is an option) and which players has he actually developed in 18months?

Not to mention some of the weird ā€œman managementā€ aspects weā€™ve seen with the new signings.

Bissouma & Richarlison were two tailor-made signings ready to improve our first 11. Both have been managed poorly imo.

Listen from 4th minute on, he is 100% calling out the players more than he is Levy. And I agree with him!

Spurs media like Ali Gold, Dan Kilpatrick, Charlie Eccleshare, Jack Pitt-Brooke etc. constantly dig out the manager as soon as things go wrong and never once question if the players are good enough.

It's become quite clear, as Conte says, that it doesn't matter one bit who the manager is because the players just aren't good enough! They dont have the ability, the heart, the mindset or the balls to win anything!

Please god

this finally sinks in with people and we sent a huge chunk of these players packing, as we wont get anywhere with them

Iā€™m now Conte in! Thatā€™s the fire I want to see. Give him a contract for life.

This has probably been mentioned and discussed before but you see chairmen/women and board members get votes of no confidence which can result in them getting the bootā€¦ is it different at football clubs as the board and Levy appear to be untouchable.

Some things he is saying is true, but a lot of it is also just pure deflection of blame. I 100% accept that there must be something wrong with the mentality of the club coming from the top, 20 years with 1 minor cup win...

But the idea that this performance or the general crap football this season is a result of "eleven selfish players" is pure nonsense of the highest order. Harry Kane is selfish? Like I said, nonsense.
Heā€™s so right. I know it hurts to hear, but look whatā€™s happened the last 20 years!

Its never his fucking fault is it.
Yes i agree it is partly his fault for his defensive tactics BUT the common link that always appears when we throw away leads like this every season is the untouchable PLAYERS..... they are weak mentally.
Yet Levy just sacks the manager every time. I want Conte out but i'm glad a manager has finally outted these GUTLESS over paid clowns.
Had enough of this happening atleast a couple times a season.

I donā€™t think so. Unless you want it to sound like that. Sounds to me and lots of people heā€™s saying what lots of people have been saying for years.
What the heck does he know what was in the past. There is probably truth in something but he is a way bigger problem for us than some think. Conte does not want to commit, is only blaming others and speaks like he is doing us a fkn favour being here.

And produces absolutely shit on the pitch and in the management of the players. That is his 15m a year job he has been given.

Is he now blaming the board that they got it wrong appointing him? lol

At least it means heā€™s probably on his way now. Could be a blessing in disguise if itā€™s sped the process up and gives us more time to prepare for next season.

Iā€™ve rewatched the interview and as I am well beyond the denial and angry stage: Iā€™ve been at full laughter mode for at least a few months. Even though he is obviously trying to defend his reputation at least he mentioned us fans who pay the money etc. Perhaps Conte has been reading through SC all along.

I 100% agree with the idea that Levy and the club management is at fault but at the same time think Conte is making it worse. Mourinho and Conte are the wrong type of managers for Spurs. Levy fucking up another appointment is on him, but what can we do about it beyond not spending money on the club (and I did that years ago)?

Of course, I can't help but agree with this. They were both bad fits.

However, Pochettino was the right fit. He wanted that 'painful rebuild', then had the infamous summer of no signings.

Redknapp: was he the wrong fit? Got to the precipice of success and was given Saha & Nelson.

It's going over old ground I know, but it's still relevant.

Most clubs appoint a CEO to operate and oversee everything whilst the owners are less hands-on and just set the standards.

Abramovich would have fired CEO's if Chelsea had a bad run of no success.
The Glazers were happy to keep Woodward because he was good at the commercial aspect.

The biggest problem for us is that Levy is part owner and CEO.

He won't remove himself and it's unlikely Lewis will whilst he builds this portfolio.

The bloke doesn't trust anyone else to oversee accounts.

What sets Spurs apart from other clubs is weā€™ve got a ā€˜perfect stormā€™ā€¦ thereā€™s major issues at all levels of the club. Beyond a new owner who will invest in the ā€˜rightā€™ manager and players the best we can hope for is a new manager who plays the Tottenham way whilst also progressing the club and is backed not necessarily to the hilt but enough to allow us move in the right direction and build on this. Itā€™s sad to say but we need to make the most of what weā€™ve got (with at least Conte being replaced).

When there are 20,000+ more like you, the board might actually sit up and take notice. Credit to you for putting your money where your mouth is so to speak.

I honestly think that's the only way there is any hope of change at the top.
