Let’s hope he can get another performance out of the players like Thursday when they played with commitment from the first minute. Consistency has been our problem for a while so I am hoping to see another similar “up for it” performance from the players. If we get another one of those today then I think there really will be proof of signs of the players buying in and actually doing what the manager wants.

Actually, consistency hasn't been a problem at all, we've been consistently appalling for 2 years or more! I'm not sure I've ever known us to be so consistently poor for so long. You can literally count on your fingers the number of "good" performances we've had since the champions league final.

What I'm hoping is that conte has managed to get them playing in a system and with a level of commitment that while it may not be at the highest level, is enough to win matches.

I've no doubt at all that once he gets some players in that we will start to see the level of our performances improve considerably.

I just ❤️ This man. His reaction after yelling “up, up, up” at Lucas to press and then when Lucas blocks the pass because of it. My manager.

Conte has some nice touchline moves.
Kicks every ball
suffers and rejoices like a fan.
Crosses himself 3 times
which I thought was overkill
but with God on our side
it seemed to pay off.
Lovely man.

I've got some painting to do this afternoon so I'm going to get my six year old to keep me updated on the score.

Be sure to render your excellent judgment after the game regardless of the outcome.

While Kane’s form is definitely concerning, I am somehow encouraged that Conte is doing this with basically getting little-to-no output from Kane. He’s made a couple of decent passes here and there but other than that, doesn’t feel like he’s offered much. Here’s to hoping we can continue to see team-wide improvement and Kane comes around. Could see us going on quite a good run if that happens along with a couple of January recruits.

Feels like Conte is taking a fairly pragmatic approach at the moment. Never easy coming in mid season (especially keeping in mind how toxic it was starting to get under Nuno) with pressure on getting results and staying in touch with the top 4. He probably looked at his first 4-5 league games and thought they were all winnable on paper. Key thing was just to win them and get some confidence going. Probably felt as long as we matched the work rate and effort combined with his tactics, we'd be favourites to win and think that's why he has turned to players he can trust to do that in this run.

10 points from a possible 12 has us back on course. Next game against a struggling Brighton side before we have a tricky game against Leicester followed by a tough one against Liverpool. Grab a win against Brighton and you'd think we'd be going into the following 2 games with a lot of confidence.

What I like from his post match presser was that while he was happy with the result but he made it clear that there was a lot more work to do.

He recognised that the performance was not good enough. Reading between the lines, I would say he was actually annoyed.

I know this is a weird take, but I am sick of managers saying how well we have done just because we won.

This is what I want to see. It's not just the result, he knows if we were playing a better side we would have been in trouble.

Still early but he's not happy and he shouldn't be, he expects better.
Skipp, Kane, son, lloris. Everyone else needs to pull their finger out. Lucas performance today excluded.

3 wins in a row and scoring goals and having more than 0 shots on target ? a game!! ? funny how much of a difference an actual world class manager makes isn’t it!!

The more I see Conte talk in these pressers the more I realise how completely I misunderstood the guy before and had bought into the narrative that he's almost cold and a bit unhinged. Probably because that's an easy sell, especially when he's not your manager, never mind the manager of a team you despise. Having watched him talk at length since joining it's pretty apparent that he's incredibly passionate and unerringly honest and intelligent, which is beyond refreshing, and already I feel massively proud to have such a person as a part of this club and that we're associated with the guy at all.

Sorry Antonio, for getting you wrong before. I feel pretty stupid looking back to the summer and personally thinking that we'd be crackers to go and hire this man who seems to want to come in, splash the cash and then implode and peace out. Just did not seem a fit for this club. But that clearly is not what he has in mind at all, and I'm excited for the future. He's both the man for the now, and the project manager all in one, and I'm not sure anyone thought he'd be coming here with the mindset he seems to have joined with. Unbelievable stuff.
