We musnt get carried away. Conte might build a good solid team but he doesn’t tend to hang around for long. We must enjoy while it lasts and hope, with a strong base, we can attract a good manager when he moves on.
Not saying this is what I want or hope happens but his record speaks for itself, around the 2 year mark. Think Juve was a bit longer.
Fingers crossed he gets us a trophy in that time ?
Just enjoy it, worry about that when it actually happens

He’s looked decent recently and had Salad in his back pocket yday!
Yeah about from 1st goal where he should have done better Davies did really well.

Conte just seems to have brought a different mindset, one we haven’t seen for years..

Yeah Trix, I’m sceptical aswell. But I’m beginning to think it’s more than them trying to impress a new manager.

Dier has been pretty solid all season, I feel he is approaching his best again. Davies has suited the 3 man back line too, and I’m waiting to see if his recent solid form falls away.

I know you’re thoughts on Winks, but to be so shit for so long!! He’s passed forwards more times in his last two games, than he has for three years!!

I suppose Dele is the one I am most interested in, maybe because he could be a game changer for us. He had a two game “bump” with Mourinho, but played out of position for so long, and has not looked mentally engaged. At his best, Dele was a pretty ordinary player for 90-95% of a match, but had the knack of doing extraordinary most games. Without Allison’s fingertips denying him yesterday, it could have been a Dele, Son, Harry performance of heyday Poch.

It’s just a gut feeling I have about all these players going shit at the same time, and playing better at the same time….but I did eat at “The Dodgy Indian” last night too?

They are both not good enough for where Spurs want / aiming to be. Id defo sell both in Jan and look to bring another option. Still think Ndoms and GlC given a run will come good.
Opinions and all that. I think what we have seen from Ndombele and Lo Celso is exactly what we will get from them. Lo celco is injured far too much and Ndombele has some great skills but maybe attitude needs work

One of the best things Conte has brought us is his energy and desire. What has been well documented is the effect this has had on the team but less has been written on the effect it has had on the fans and the stadium.
The energy within the ground is now bordering on electric, compared to the poisonous and toxic feel of the last few years. After losing White Hart Lane it now genuinely feels like we have a ground which feels like home again, which is capable of spurring the team on. I hope we can build on this base and make our home a fortress once again.

He's a class act. Very intelligent tactically and you can see patterns of play starting to emerge.

But the thing I love most about him is his passion, its infectious.

The players, fans...everyone at the Club.

That's why we'll achieve great things with this guy.

An absolute joy to see a manager on the touchline who looks like he gives a shit...for a a change.

If anyone can get them firing and focused it’ll be Conte.

Odd because I can’t remember Hugo having 3 or 4 chances to score??

“Kane and Conte: this is, as ever, the key relationship in this setup. And with better timing and better finishing Spurs’ captain could have scored pretty much the same goal three or four times.”
If I had a penny for every time someone in the media incorrectly identifies Kane as spurs Captain I'd have £17.52...

We have seen players have get a bounce under new management before. If they are still doing it in Feb then great, I somehow doubt they all will be though.

I dont think this is a new managers bounce in its entirety. Ofcourse one or two are trying to grasp th eopportunities given, I think the majority are buoyed and motivated by the fact there is an elite manager at the helm than a has been and an Aldi version of the has been.

Ho we are playing where there are patterns of play, structural and tactical changes and the fact that we havent been magnificent in all those games tells me that this is more than a new managers bounce. Its been progressing rather than just a few wins because of good performances.

Agreed that some will not be in the same position come Feb/March time

I can tell you that I watched much of the second half on my feet in my living room and more than once yelled “come on!” at the screen in the buildup, so it’s not just in the ground!

if tanguy can play 60 mins at 100% every match and make 3-4 key passes and get 1-2 assists, I’ll take that anytime.

the 2 of them can rotate the 90 mins and do a job for sure.

am glad to see the 3-5-2 cos we have the options that can make it work really well

In any sport to be successful, you need to be competitive. Conte has not only given us supporters a feeling that we are now competitive he’s managed to demonstrated this on the pitch. . Payers are delivering although for some (no names) it’s little too much. The next level we need a few players in. For me the jury is out on Kane- v Liverpool he was loads better. It’s all about hope and Conte is given me hope for a future that wasn’t there not long ago. Love the man.

We also ran 7km more than the bindippers yesterday
When Conte took over we were bottom of the table for distance run, and we’re now top of that table.

The aspect he has changed the most (other than just simply the running) is a consistent sense of purpose in terms of forwards movement. The defenders and midfielders know exactly where the forwards and wing backs will be, giving multiple options. Takes a lot of the ‘in the moment’ decision making away and enables them to just concentrate on execution. As players get fitter they’ll make less execution mistakes too.

Sorry... Did you just say the jury is out on Harry Kane?

For me it is. He’s form has improved recently and against Liverpool he was looking almost as good as ever but I’m not convinced he is where he should be. Conti will get the best from him and others around him which I feel he needs. I’m not looking to argue on this - I’m hard to please.
