Our football is not pretty, but it has been effective in several games.
I wish we played better, but I don't believe our tactics are the main problem here.
We cannot compete for any trophy with Dier and Davies as centre backs. They are a guarantee you will fail

Can't wait till he's gone. This football is dreadful and we wont be winning anything playing this way.
Antonio Conte won't be winning anything? The same Antonio Conte who took a Juve side that had been languishing since the Calciopoli scandal and won three consecutive league titles, including being the first club since Serie A expanded to 20 teams to have an invincible campaign? The same Antonio Conte that set a then-record 30 wins out of 38 at Chelsea, winning the league in dominant fashion with Victor Moses as his wingback? The same Antonio Conte who ended the very period of Juventus dominance that he was responsible for starting by winning the league with Inter? The Antonio Conte who took a moribund, threadbare Tottenham to a miraculous fourth place finish last season? That Antonio Conte won't be winning anything?

I dont think conte has a leg to stand on, attacking the fans.
3 defeats in 4 is very poor, with 2 of them at home.

No-one should be enthusiastic about any of this and it makes me question how high his expectations are, given he can't see why we are disappointed. It tasted like 'you've never had it so good.'
Mourinho and pochettino, for all their faults, never hit out at the fans.

I really enjoy what I saw in yesterday's second half. The best kind of Tottenham Football since Poch 2018
We just need to do it not just in second half after the WC
Totally agree plus we worked hard in the first half but were chasing shadows. Second half a very big improvement. Kuluveski showed us what we had been missing as well. Great to have him back.

I just hope that he will be willing to extend his contract with us. A couple of productive transfer windows and we will challenge for the title under him.

It’s really as simple as that - we need quality upgrades on Emerson, Sessegnon, Dier, Davies, Moura and Sanchez. Some creative midfielder in the mould of Maddison would do the team a world of good as well. One decent wingback pas his prime (Perisic) and one CL standard defender in Romero is not enough.

On the plus note our midfield looks good. Hojbjerg and Bentancur are excellent and Bissouma is finally looking like the player we saw at Brighton.

Hopefully Paratici and Levy will try to bring one or two good players in January.

I am amazed that some are calling for Conte to be sacked….like we were amazing before him…. I remember the team with Nuno and Jose. We are at best a mid table team and that core is still here with Conte. Without Conte we would be back to 8th-10th… With no Kane as he would of done one. He got a set of players who are around 6-10th in quality into 4th without preseason. Now we are sitting 4th and into the last 16 of CL with 4/5 key players injured. Every team bar City and Arsenal are constantly dropping points.

Until we can upgrade on players like Dier or Lloris (at his age) who in big moments always cost us (lloris, also at his age). Dier is solid and useful, but when the pressure is on, he always wobbles…. We are going to remain some what inconsistent. Conte has actually made us The third most consistent team over his year tenure..

I feel we don’t actually deserve Conte because a lot of us don’t even realize what we git in Conte and think Tuchel etc…. Will come in and fix Dier‘s mentally… or Royal, Dohearty etc….

Those calling for Conte to be sacked don’t actually realize our current level.. and why most other fans think we are clowns… Other fans are desperate for Conte to leave as they no we will find our level again once he leaves…

I can see we have improved, our squad has improved (bar injury) but we need at least 2 windows to improve keys areas such as Dier etc… I am feeling very optimistic about Spurs as long as we keep Conte and back him And hopefully the management ignore those fans with delusional thoughts of grandeur

Feel free to tell me how.

All I keep hearing is how bad the players are, and how this is the way best suited for them to play, yet worse teams and squads than ours keep playing better football. On top of that, the best teams we've beaten are Brighton and Fulham, so it's not like he's getting the results to justify this approach. So in what way is he getting the best out of this squad, a significant chunk of whom have been signed during his tenure?

Let me be clear, this isn't a Conte Out post, but we really need to a lot better

What is getting the best out of the squad to you? Results or fancy performances? Because the only team above us that’s a surprise is Newcastle.

Both Arteta and Pep have been moulding their squads for 4+ Fucking years and we’ve barely just celebrated Conte’s 1st with us. In no way is it fair to expect us to be competing with them neck and neck based on time to implement tactics alone.

You need to get your expectations in check, before you start throwing them around like we’re entitled to be doing better than we are.

There are multiple, justifiable reasons why you could say he is doing the best he can so far, and deserves a lot more time.

Just because you’re not impressed with the performances doesn’t take away from the results. Football has always and will always be a results based game.

Conte is definitely underachieving and should be thrown to the wolves.

How can I really rate a coach who has at his disposal the likes of Emerson, Doherty, Sessignon,Davies,Dier,Sanchez, Hugo and cant after 12 months get us anywhere near to the
CL , and if he did we would probably finish bottom of our group, and how can this shocking coach have this group of players, and have us languishing in the bottom 4 as we speak with not one injury to contend with...

Seriously..Conte out!!!

No No, you’d swear we have Ruben Dias and Van Dijk the way people go on about how good enough our players are. Not like we’ve had the same defensive issues with the same CB’s for years now.

Oh no, they’ve been managed poorly.

The amount of delusion is frightening.

Not to be a Debbie downer. But our last 6 premier league results have been…

Spurs 1-2 Liverpool
Bournemouth 2-3 Spurs
Spurs 1-2 Newcastle
Man U 2-0 Spurs
Spurs 2-0 Everton
Brighton 0-1 Spurs

We may be 4th now, but those results won’t even get you europa league football.
I’m not asking for him to be sacked. But I expect better from him and the team.
That first result, Brighton away, came after we lost a member of our team, our coaching staff. A person who was hugely popular with everyone in the team evidently.

Now, im sure most of us have all suffered loss of someone close to us. It's not easy to get over. It doesn't happen in a week. It doesn't happen in a month. It doesn't happen in a year.

It's changed what happens every day for the players. It's changed what happens on a match day before a game. At half time. At full time.

So give the players and the manager and his coaching staff some slack. Conte has known this man for a long time and worked with him a long time too.
to be frank it would be hard to be worse than Dier has been of late two more mistakes today cost two goals how many is that of late - Davinson would be the obvious replacement though he has obvious shortcomings but when a player is making so many mistakes you have to drop him how many more mistakes do you want him to make before leaving him out defensively Dier is hiding at the moment and having him and Royal on the same side was laughable
Yes, Royal shouldn't be playing. But Sanchez is worse than Dier. Did you see his needless lunge for Bournemouths first goal last week?

Liverpool targeted Royal first half yesterday, if Sanchez was on that side with him instead of Dier it would have been a total car crash.

You’d swear they aren’t humans sometimes, no slack for personal things whatsoever and that literally boils down to one thing only, they earn more than most of us so they not allowed to have feelings.
