I find it really irritating the way Conte keeps talking about it "taking time" and "having patience" when the elephant in the room is he is out of contract in summer and he has shown no desire to renew.

It's always this subtle shirking of blame as well, implying the team is not good enough. He talks about "seeing the reality"...the reality is we should not be losing to Notts Forest, Sheffield United and AC Milan in key cup competitions with the players we have.
Yes and no. You can‘t deny that we have been very unlucky with injuries this season, out of form players as well as very tragic events.
All things considered and despite a lot of adversity, we can still finish in the top 4.

I don‘t want Conte gone. He will be much much better next season.

It’s such an embarassing narrative in my opinion. Our players have demonstrated their ‘toughness’ multiple times this season, whether that was at Stamford Bridge on the second game of the season or when we lost the home NLD and there was a confrontation with Ramsdale after the game. If he’s talking about a soft mentality then that’s also invalid as we have loads of points from losing positions this season. The issue that you as a coach are doing a bad job and as a result we are flawed tactically, leading to poor performances and results.
Totally agree.

Over the last number of years our team has been full of players who have been at the forefront, often captains, of top national side. We have players who have succeeded in so many ways outside of the club. But even within it we have on numerous occasions, like the CL in 2019, come back from the dead to win vital games against top opposition. In those days we didn't, almost, ever lose to bottom half PL teams let alone lower leagues.

Yet we are constantly being spun that recent managers are so much tougher, smarter, 'serial' winners. That losing finals, or semis, means we are weak. We are much stronger then it appears now because we fail to get anywhere near finals.

What did someone say, 'a winner is a loser who fails to quit'. The club quit in the months after losing the CL final and has given up ever since

What is interesting is that end of Jan transfer window if we’d not got that Porro deal over the line the fans were really to revolt against levy BIG TIME, we signed Porro and our football has continued to be shit and now (rightly) conte is getting a lot of heat.

But… yet again levy will be off the hook when let’s remember it was Levy who hired Jose, Levy who hired Paratici who blocked fonseca, wanted gattuso and needed up with Nuno and then levy and Paratici who then went for conte (another 3 in a row bad fit manager).

So yes for me Conte’s time is up but if the crowd don’t also give levy dogs abuse then he will yet again be off the hook 🪝

You are falling for it. ALWAYS the same pattern. Why don‘t we stick with the manager this time instead of bringing someone in that will once again throw us back two-three steps?

I'd rather have a manager that actually wants to manage us and feels proud to lead us. Not someone who behaves as though he's doing us a favour by being in charge.

His comments on Danjuma have cracked me up and prove he has lost the plot.

Aside from saying he’s a club signing, he says he doesn’t really have the characteristics for the number 10 role and is more of a winger or second striker.

Now that sentence on its own might not seem too bad but when you consider he is playing Son and Richarlison as 10s despite them being the complete opposite profile of a 10 it’s absolutely hilarious and proves he’s inept. If anything Danjuma would suit the position MORE than those two because he’s better technically! And I’m not even saying he’d definitely be amazing for us or anything.

It’s just showing how clueless Conte’s analysis of the system and his player profiles are. How on Earth can he say Danjuma isn’t fit for the 10 role but Son and Richarlison are 😂😂😂

It‘s not that simple. Do you really think we can go into exciting football mode overnight? It‘s a process.
Who says we can‘t play exciting football under Conte next season if we back him further this summer?
It’s also been a chore watching us the last 3 years under 3 managers who all play shit football.

Cba to keep saying this but yes other managers could get us playing better football, heck even Ryan Mason did in the 6 games (4 wins) he managed for us.

Ten Haag has transformed Man.U, Kompany had transformed Burnley, Bielsa transformed Leeds etc etc etc 🥱

Even if his time here is up he’s not wrong in the fact that the fans and the club need time and patience before we are competitive at the top. There’s literally no denying that so I have no idea why everyone keeps losing their minds when he says it? We all know it’s true.

That’s like being told by your new ex-gf that you’re out of shape and need to put some effort into yourself and getting mad about it even though you’re fat and you know what she’s saying is true.

Letting what he says now make you angry is just silly IMO. He’s gone anyway. There’s no chance he’ll be staying. So just take a breather and don’t pay attention to the pressers until he’s gone. No one should give a fuck about what he has to say.

This guy is a pisstaker. Just waiting for his payoff

has no interest in the club and no interest in salvaging this season

it’s time for the board to step up, get rid and let a new manager come in so we can try to hit the ground running next season. J

None of them are fit for the no 10 position if we’re being honest here. Square pegs in round holes and all that.

Again, it’s about being tough, battle, desire, strong, proud, but no sign of coaching any football. Sick to death of this bollocks.

If all it takes to earn 15m a year is to tell others ‘fight harder’, and not actually do anything yourself then he’s onto a winner.

Id like to hear something different from him on player improvement, patterns of play etc., rather than this ‘be strong’ rubbish. If that’s what he’s been working on for the past year it also has had no effect. No fight, no passion, no football, no idea and now no solution apart from ‘prepare to fight’. No! Prepare to play a game of football. He’s so outdated it’s crazy.

IIRC nr. 10 in his system are wing forwards, but Danjuma definitely is a "10" in that sense. He said last season that Son and Lucas are 10s, but Bergwijn, Gil are not.

Fairly certain he keeps saying the same things cause it’s the only English he knows.
