If Danny Blanchflower was the brain of that great team, Dave Mackay was its heart.
A sad day indeed.

Yes, a sad day indeed for his family and anyone connected with Spurs. Surely we haven't replaced him all these years after he left for Derby.

RIP Dave.

My hero has gone.

A man I thought was indestructible is no longer with us. I feel for his family, particularly his daughter, who is ( or at least used to be) a member of this forum.

Dave was arguably - or, as far as I am concerned, definitely - the greatest player ever to play for this club. He had everything. We have never replaced him and probably never will.

His passing is a loss to this club, to football, and to the world in general.

We will miss you Dave. RIP.
