Marca have linked us with Coentrao again today though (albeit as part of the Bale deal again)

Look could just be coincedence, but maybe not - i think in fairness it is worthy of dicussion in a transfer "rumours" section.
Also, may have nothing to do with bale bid/story, but maybe he is being lined up for a move, and he is the kind of player we would like?

Even if Real M. tell him he should go to Spurs as part of the Bale deal there is no guarantee he will go. Monaco, fex., seem to lack a quality LB and won't have hard time tabling a more "tempting" offer than Spurs can.
Real M. seem to be grooming Denis Cheryshev as their new understudy LB, so it's likely that Coentrao will be leaving this summer.
