Arsenal have really created a problem for themselves with some of their homegrown players.

Nelson has now turned 24(!) and got a new contract this summer. For what? Scoring a last minute winner against Bournemouth last season?

Nketiah as a second striker is one of the worst options of any team in the top half of the league.

Smith-Rowe has been plagued by injuries but they don't play him when he is available and haven't been willing to loan him out.

They are all poor squad options for a team wanting to challenge for the leauge, and as a result they've been forced to overplay the likes of Saka and Martinelli.
