I didn’t think he was, so I checked Companies House and he doesn’t appear to be, but they have so many subsidiaries that it’s possible, but equally it could be a courtesy title.

The real issue I imagine is what influence he has regardless of his position, and as with everything at the club, that comes down to how much respect Levy has for him. Unless the law intervenes, I suppose.

Just an observation, with no knowledge, but the club list 7 directors in the above link - which makes more sense than 6 (or any even number).

But ultimately this is Levy’s board, as he will have the votes to do just about anything he proposes that requires board approval (most decisions do not require board approval).

Juventus’ appeal to Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) was sent in late today (deadline for it was tomorrow)
By default Paratici’s appeal against his suspension from Italian Football has therefore been lodged.

Reported that hearing will start on 27th March, and decision made during May (before end of Italian season which goes on until 4th June) So based on that likely decision date, we should still be able to employ him until end of season.

Sounds like the appeal is 3fold
1. Trying to say the evidence found (Paratici’s black book which basically admits what was happening) was not “new facts” and therefore should not have been allowed to be presented as evidence at the previous appeal.

2. Due process was not followed and the sentence was not proportionate to the offence.

3. If the above fails, to allow the case to be judged elsewhere (I assume they mean CAS, but there may be another federal sporting body they were referring to)

On top of this though there is the arguably more serious case (the case so far has been tried only has sporting sanctions and bans from football, the not heard one around player salaries and false announcing to stock exchange as players all had “under the table” letters from Paratici is a criminal case with potential jail terms)
