Tottenham losing Harry Kane in the summer sent the fans into crisis mode and you can’t blame them. Not only was he their record goal scorer, but also one of the best strikers in world football season after season – those are hard to come by.

I must've missed that day/hour/second.

Maybe it should read, "some fucking dumb pundits feared relegation without Kane"

Relegation?

Oh god no.

We all assumed much worse.

Personally I thought we'd finish bottom with no points, no goals, the stadium would implode and we'd somehow sign Harry Maguire.

A few on here did fear we'd be bottom half but I don't remember anyone saying we'd be relegated.

From those on twitter and youtube, the loudest of us, it was almost 50/50 between relegation fight and mid table.

Yea. I remember Merson confirming that were relegation bound and I believed everything he said. He also said the Martians will invade China and India and stop their power stations from emitting more CO2.

I’ll raise my hand and say that I did say in the latest parts of the season without Kane last year, we would have been in a real bad place, and could’ve been near relegation based on how badly we were playing. But I certainly didn’t say that in the summer, or before Ange was hired or after for that matter or when Kane left

But on the bright side, he did get 80/1 as an acca
