favourite moment of the seaon

Several highlights stand out for me, including:

Berbatov smashing in his fourth v reading just as we hit the crescendo of 'When the Spurs go marching in';

JJ v Arsenal at WHL, a sublime goal and it was at that point that I knew we were going to win;

Keano's 100th goal;

Keano v Chelsea & Kaboul v Villa;

Keano & Ledley embracing after the Arsenal victory;

Ledley & Keano lifting the trophy at Wembley.

But for me (and it perhaps doesn't reflect well upon my character) it's Teemu pointing at the scoreboard at Wembley when Joe Cole was mouthing off at him.

When the ref blew the final whistle at the Final.

Has to be. The absolute elation of that moment hugging and jumping about with mates I've known and suffered with for years.
Who didn't fear the worse right up to that moment?

all the other bollocks pales into insugnificance compared to that moment.

We parked up somewhere in the trading estate and walked through the chelsea end, passing the massive pctures of grant and Ramos to get to "our side/end". we found some punter willing to swap OiOi's £80 ticket for one near our £38 one's 'cause he wanted to be near his old man and us and then rode the elevators and stairs to the top tier of the new footballing temple of english football. Then we watched as our team outplayed their extravagantly assembled team. A team that had an indian sign over us for the best part of 16 years. A team that represented everything that football shouldn't be about. Wanker fans, oligarchs plaything, wanker players (Cole, Lampard etc). Despite outplaying them we go a goal behind. We fight back. Keep playing. go 2-1 up. survive a sphinkter clenching last 5 minutes of ET.

Then the ref blows.

16 years of listening to 3 point lane bollocks is wiped. we fucked them over good and proper. no ifs. no fucking buts. they wanted it. we got it. we turned up. they didn't. on and off the pitch.

We.fucked. chelsea. at wembley. in. front. of . everone. season validated. passporttoeuroperenewed.

Are you insane? look at the Taarabt video at the start of the thread again! how can winning a cup compare with that???

Winning the Cup was the GREATEST moment of the season, but I was oh so nervous in the 2nd half of extra time that I didn't enjoy it. But come the final whistle!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beating Arsenal 5-1 was great because we had more time to relax and enjoy!
