The thing is, West Ham have become dissillusioned themselves and were expecting far better than 10th/11th half way through the season untill they went untill free fall.
The difference between us and them is that they should be chuffed with 10th 11th and to expect anything better is unrealistic, we on the otherhand should be challenging the top 4!!!

Right on, brotha. I remember Ljungberg saying something like "we're gonna get 4th place!" when they won 2 or 3 games in a row. Oh, how I laughed.

I don't think it matters that much - and bragging rights please - I would love some West Ham fans to come on here bragging if they do get 10th to our 11th

where would I start - probably no trophies for 28 years - followed by looking forward to our 11th straight decade of dominance over them coming up next season - followed by what's worse losing 11-0 or 17-4 - yep that's do for starters - oh an then there's this document if I can find it from another site - damn can't find it - it was a great review (I think from COYS) comparing our 2 clubs achievements

Spurs players will receive a much larger end of season bonus if they finished 10th rather than 11th. especially as its the border between the top and bottom half of the table...

I think the players should have given more this season. One trophy does not a season make.

Let's face it, it's a double-edged sword. One the one hand we enjoyed the cup win not least because we thumped Arse** and beat Chelski. But the other side is a relegation form drop off in results after that.

Given that we could have so much to do next season it was embarrassing again to hear people talk about cracking top four again. We are well off the mark on our last ten or so games.

Big clear out. Berbs out, his press attraction is killing us. Dawson out, his season has not been good enough to warrant top six even. Zokora, like him but can't see us making headway with his inconsistent displays. And could have even added Bent to that list, but not now Berbs is going to have to leave.

I want to see us make a consistent run in the league next season, if that means playing grinding-out result type games like Everton and Villa have then so be it.

And I want to see us hold the Carling Cup or win the UEFA.

But not with this team, it's time to change.

Having said all that, I am proud of how we turned the season around. But there is a lingering air of bad mentality and disquiet that needs to be sorted out, and that can only come from wholesale changes, it's the only way to breathe fresh air into a side under pressure like we have been and will do next season.
