I've been to Florence with Genoa before & even though the clubs don't like each other much (Genovese v Florentines goes back centuries) not a spot of bother. Wouldn't worry much (but be careful, obviously!)

Please don't worry, I don't understand why you would. I'd be going in a heartbeat, but as I've accounted for earlier today in the ITK thread, the amount of liquid funds available to me in January does not allow me to fetch the plane tickets. That's the one and only reason why I'll be stuck in front of the telly. I've lived in Florence (and go back several times a year), and honestly it will not be scarier than going to any match in London.

Well I didn't have enough loyalty points on my membership, and my mate forgot to apply for one for me from his season ticket...but thankfully picked one up off Twitter! Didn't fancy going all that way to sit in the pub/home end and watch it!

Sure you would probably get one out there. AC Milan game quite a few had spare tickets. People ended up standing on the stairs buying Milan tickets and just going in the Spurs end. (what a great night that was).

I'm not trying to sound stuck up, but really you should try wine in Florence. Apart from that... If I were going (which sadly I'm not), I'd recommend meeting at the 1st floor of Mercato Centrale (quite central). They offer loads of different food stalls, communal dining areas, and one large part dedicated to beer & spirits. They close at 00.01 exactly. Enjoy!
Of course there are wine bars so many that in a year you wouldn't need to visit the same place twice.

Will try and look at a museum or 2 as well. Although looking at the flights might have to go Tuesday for a cheap direct one.

Anyone know of any spare tickets going for the trip? Looking for 3 tickets just missed out on loyalty points unfortunitly but still making the trip in hope of finding tickets! Anyone got any recommendations on how I can obtain some out there?
