3h 55!? Christ, will do my best to make the 10:25pm one.

Thanks for the help though, would be good to grab a beer with some SC'ers out there if anyone's up for it.

Bus only takes an hour and 44 minutes. Think they start at 06:00 in the morning if you want to have a good night out.
Or get a cheap hotel for the night. Think we're paying around 30euros a night.

One of the Austin Texas lads going, 4 of us from Belgium.

Not sure if I've met you before. But would love to see you in Duomo square. For me it is one of the best things of the European away games and makes the best atmosphere (especially the night before the game). To realise we're not just a few piss heads from north london, but that we are international piss heads.

Look out for our flag, combination of Tottenham and Standard Liege. 2 Belgian lads and 2 ex-pat English.

Ive been to Florence a lot over the past 3/4 years but sadly not this week.

Duomo is the easiest place to meet. But you will pay a heavy price for a beer. Upwards of 9 euros. Same for the piazza della republica and piazza della signoria. I cant imagine the Italian police making life easy for you there either.

I would recommend heading towards the backstreets near mercato centrale or towards piazza di santa croce. Here you will find smaller bars offering better prices.

Have a great time. Florence is stunning but spurs winning there would make it even better!

Think the day of the game we'll do what we did in Madrid and hit the offy before going to the square.

So, Duomo Square it is lads?

Popping my European away cherry, can't wait.

For the day of the game yes. Might pass through there Wednesday night (but if it is 9 euro a pint wont be staying long). See there are a few Irish pubs not far off the square so will probably pop in one of those. Anyone got any good recommendations? Otherwise as usual we will stroll about until we can hear singing.

Kikuya pub in Piazza Santa Croce, Via de’ Benci, 43, it's where all the American female students hang out!
:sneaky:
Then there's The Fiddler's Elbow, Piazza Santa Maria Novella 7/R, nr the station.

Old Stove Signoria, Piazza della Signoria 30r
Happy hour is from Sunday to Thursday 6-9, $1 = €1 on Tuesdays, Wednesday is ladies night.
;)

The Lion's Fountain, Borgo degli Albizi, 34/r, popular Irish pub.

The William Pub, Via Magliabechi, 7/9/11r, Close to Piazza Santa Croce.

Finnegan's Irish Pub on Via San Gallo, about 5 minutes north of the Duomo.

Enjoy yourself and be careful with the police...they had a major problem with Feyenoord fans in Rome last week and may not be in the mood for any shenanigans...

Funniest thing i've read this week. That shit is preposterous. Never heard of such a thing.

My recommendation for spurs fans: Hit up the bars in neighboring towns, or buy alcohol from the liquor stores before the ban takes effect and just drink in the hotel or something.
