What if that lasagne game v West Ham had been postponed rather than played with a less than 100% squad?
What if that rule where Chelsea got our CL place because they won it didn't exist? I get they had a right to defend the trophy, but should have been a 5th entry.
What if Mendes' goal was given?
What if Willian actually signed?
What if we had won that game at City? 3-2 I think it was, Bale cracker. Or what if Balotelli was sent off for the stamp?

The Defoe miss and Balotelli stamp and pen still plays on my mind. Seemed like such a significant moment.

My memory isn't what it used to be, but I'm sure that when we lost to City 2-1 in the 2012-2013 season, we had a really good chance of scoring a goal in the 87th or 88th minute. I think the chance fell to Defoe and he missed it.
City then went up the other end of the pitch and got the winner.
We finished a point off Arsenal (although with a substantially worse GD) that season, so it would have made a huge difference if we had won that game; we would have made the Top 4!
And it would have certainly had an impact on AVB's stint with us.
And perhaps Bale would have stayed for at least another season?
Tbh, even if I'm not remembering the first part of my post correctly, I'm sure there were other moments in that season that could have gone either way and seen us into the CL.
A game of fine margins indeed!
