Didn't Andy Goram have schizophrenia? I vaguely remember the chant "there's only two Andy Gorams"

22 year old striker Alex Sanchez, now with Teruel in the Spanish League after spending three seasons with Zaragoza, was born with only one hand, the first professional footballer with that particular disability. He made his first team debut in 2009.

Isn't there a mention in The Glory Game book of a Spurs Youth whom was deaf?

Unfortunately he didn't get past his first year.

Garrinchea: : his spine was deformed, his right leg bent inwards and his left leg six centimeters shorter and curved outwards

Didn't Garrinchea claim that this actually worked to his advantage?

Surely he's the best case of a disabled player being a success? He's one of the best ever Brazilian players.

Isn't there a mention in The Glory Game book of a Spurs Youth whom was deaf?

Unfortunately he didn't get past his first year.

That was defender Bobby Scarth who played for us in the 1970s and he was last heard of (no pun intended) coaching the deaf and hard of hearing.

He was the son of Jimmy Scarth who was an inside forward at Tottenham from 1948-1952 and held the record for scoring the fastest hat trick in a game for over 50 years.

Also profoundly deaf were Cliff Bastin who was an Arsenal legend from 1929 to 1947 and Philip Hagan of Raith Rovers.
