By all accounts according to the BBC...
Forecast told the club's official website: "Spurs didn't really want to let me go, but I'm pleased it's all sorted now. Once I found out that Southampton wanted me, my mind was made up.
"They are a huge club with a big fan base - a Premier League club really - and I can see myself developing here."

So assuming Robinson goes we have

First/Reserve Team
Gomes
Alnwick
Button

Are Alnwick/Button good enough yet?

Ranieri still very young to be 1st team, he is only 16 or 17 i think.

I thought we rate Forecast highly and himself said: " Spurs didn't really want to let me go, but I'm pleased it's all sorted now. Once I found out that Southampton wanted me, my mind was made up. They are a huge club with a big fan base - a Premier League club really - and I can see myself developing here."

He didn't say as other players " I would never do it at Spurs "

I wish him well in the future.

Ranieri will probably end up in our academy.

As leetotty has said, we will end up with Gomes, Alnwickand Button (When Robbo moves on) for our first team and reserve keepers.

Streching it a bit thin, imo.

I think Robbo will almost certainly move on. We have so up and coming keepers, we could do worse than getting in a stop gap experienced keeper such as Canizares (maybe not him, just someone like him) who wouldn't expect games, but would be experienced enough to step in when needed.

Suprised by this, not only did he seem fairly rated (above Alnwick anyway), but he's gone to a club in the championship with two fairly good and established keepers in Kelvin Davis and Bartosz Bialkowski.

A little bit surprising, but in a way it's good to see a lad who thinks he has a chance of playing regular Championship football and chooses that over the reserves/bench at a PL club.

It's also great to see that we have sold two of our academy products to Championship clubs this summer, Forecast and Martin, which shows that we are miles ahead of where we were five or ten years ago when our academy rejects dropped down to Conference and below.

I wish Tommy all the best and hope he can establish himself at Southampton and play regularly.

Good luck to him  i think once we got Alnwick in his chances of getting in the first team took abit of a dive, good to see him getting a chance at southampton and hope he does well

I hope he does well there, not enough of our youth players go on to do well (obviously we dont want them doing too well). He was getting on a bit and I dont think he was ever really going to get a chance. Would have played some reserve team football and stopped someone like Jansson progressing.

i thought alnwick couldnt even make the first team at leicester? And said he would be happy to move permanently to leicester? Surely not good enough to sit on our 1st team bench even. and no ambition either?

We need experience on the bench. It's no good having a keeper with no first team minutes under his belt having to step in at an important time for us.
