St. Farcenal.

I don't care if I'm jumping the gun. We will finish above them! Chelsea should be our target.

If we don't we don't deserve to even think about champion's league because they are a very poor side. Even with Fabregas and Nasri they weren't that great, now they have a team of very average players with the exception of Van Persie and Sagna.

We have a better first 11 and a better squad, we need to blow the away in the NLD just like we did liverfoul because you know that as soon as they concede the first goal they will fall apart.

Like you say, forget about pool and scum, we should be looking at Chelsea.

I also think this might finally be the year we overtake the arsemongers.

We've been within a whisker of them a few seasons recently and the recent results against them have been good.

Its defo well due.

Steady on guys, its not like Spurs fans to get completely ahead of ourselves after one decent performance...

Thanks to this thread, the gooners will finish 19th, we'll finish 18th and be celebrating finishing above them despite both of us being relegated.

Lose the first two games, we're the worst team in the world. Win the next two, we're shoe ins for top four.

Gotta love being a Tottenham fan.

So... how many Arsenal players would get in our team at the moment? (someone was/has to ask!)

I'd guess Sagna at right-back, and maybe the goalie, Szeshezehsney.

Only Sagna and Van Pervert imo

They are very, very average and I reckon that they will be in for a long hard season as they simply don't have the "fear factor" that they once had. Gone are the days when people would simply defend deep against them and hope for the best. They just don't have the quality to dominate most teams or the defense to shut most teams out.

That little **** Wilshire would be ahead of Parker if he was fit.

Agree. I cannot wait to the NLD this year, I think for the first time in years the Arsenal fans will be secretly shitting it.

They don't even have the lions share of possession against anybody anymore. These last 6 years despite being unsuccessful on the pitch they always played good, attractive football but even that's disappeared.

depends on the role you'd want the player chosen to play. Wilshere going forward, Parker staying back.

I'd put Walcott in over Lennon too. For goals.

They have been shitting it for several years now. At the emirates they are confident, but at whl they know we have the beating of them. If it was any other side right now they would be dead certs to finish upper mid-table, they really are that poor.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

The scum are not as bad as they have been looking recently and it was only a couple of weeks ago half our fans were suggesting we could be in a relegation battle and should sack our manager.

I was against all the knee jerk reactions to the Manchester losses but equally I would suggest 2 good results and one great performance is not enough to start getting carried away about either.

We are and have been for a season or two now a very good side capable of top four finishes. Last year we were distracted by the CL and hindered by woeful performances from all of our strikers.

We have made 2-3 top signings who have gone a long way to completing our first team puzzle but lack a little in depth and those around us have strengthened greatly too (aside Arsenal who over all are somewhat weaker)

Just like last year and the year before we are capable of challenging for the fourth maybe even third this year, but as always it will be hard and over taking Arsenal or Chelsea should in no way be expected/taken for granted because it would be a great achievement if we can do it.

Trust AM to ruin it by coming in and talking sense!

I am actually all for fans getting carried away and enjoying the good times

The only concern I have is when this results in an unrealistic expectations (like when people start saying we can/will win the league) which in turn leads to a negative backlash when these expectations are not attained.

It has been happening for the last few years now, every time we win a few games people start saying we will win the league...then blam one bad result in Blackpool and people want the manager sacked

Enjoy the highs by all means, just keep things in perspective and remember we are building still and Rome wasn't built in a day.
