Great to see the support for all of our second string on here, really understanding.

Knives out for all the usual suspects. Trust the manager, until he does something unpopular.

It’s not been great, but Fulham aren’t Notts County or something.

Don’t get me wrong, there are causes for concern, particularly Richi, but there’s 45 to go yet.
It was completely unnecessary to risk this kind of performance by changing so many players against a half decent team.

The transfer window being open is certainly a factor behind this selection, either showing players who we want to keep that they will get their opportunities, giving players a last chance or showing the board that there are key squad weaknesses that still need attention

what’s more disappointing than the selection is the fact that so many players on the pitch are not taking the opportunity now they have it

Have to say, considering we're not in Europe he's made 2-3 too many changes here. Tbf Forster has been decent, but i'd have kept Vicario in goal as well as the CB pairing.

In fairness to Ange though, he's still seeing who can cut the mustard in a fiercely competitive match. Might not be many opportunities to do that this season.
Yeah but you don't throw them all in at the same time. As soon as I saw the team sheet I expected that first half.

Yeah, who cares. Who remembers the LC cup win over Chelsea, or Nielsen v Leicester? To me it's all about Amsterdam, Milan, Madrid, Dortmund, Barcelona etc. Anyway, i guess the view is very different from home.

I remember the win over Chelsea clear as day.

what’s even more stupid is that half of this team are actively seeking a move in the next 2 days so they are hardly going to bust a gut for us are they.
These guys have pride. They are busting a gut as its the beginning of the season but they are still figuring it out and their skills are rusty. A) they don't know where their teammates are or where they need them to be and B) that leads to them being out of position on offense and defense which leads to being late to what should be 50-50 balls C) notice how poorly their first touch is in terms of cushioning as well as turning away from pressure. that takes time away from the next step and the play starts to break down. it's not a horror show but is more of a tragicomedy at the moment.

You can’t tell me that we couldn’t get the following players to help transform us for reasonable money:

bella-kotchap (cb), Jo chotard or amrabat (dm), iling-junior (lw), Johnson (rw) and vlahovic (sc).

2 hg in that. Juve need to sell and other than Johnson the others are £25m or less.

when you have Lloris, dier, tanganga, Sanchez, Reggie, peh, tanguy, glc, Gil, sessegnon, richarlison, etc that can either be let go or have interest in them.

with the Kane money and any money brought in from these lot going, we would be in a much stronger position for games like these and in general.

accept the €9m for Sanchez, accept £25m for peh, €8m for tanguy, start making calls to Saudi and offer brazils number 9 or offer him to Juve.

it’s so frustrating that Ange is being hamstring by both a lack of ambition and the same old reluctance to accept reduced fees and actually offload those that have no future with us.
It’s nothing to do with fees and everything to do with salaries.

Not signing and out and out striker is going to be a disaster
Richi did basically nothing last season, so (obviously with the benefit of hindsight) we'd have been better off not buying him, and then spending big this summer on a top striker to replace Kane. Right now we're £60m down and our CF looks like he's not up to it.

The main issue here is that all the back up squad players are 9laying together. Dropping a couple of them into the first team when needed is fine, they just can't all play together.
