Turkish Super Lig outfit Galatasaray are in advanced talks to sign Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Giovani Lo Celso, according to Aksam.

The 27-year-old Argentine has struggled for regular playing time at Tottenham this season, making just four Premier League appearances. He spent the previous season on loan at Villarreal, where he impressed with his creativity and playmaking abilities.

Sadly he keeps getting injured if he didn’t I’m sure he would play a lot more.

Shame it’s not worked out for him, his a talented footballer.

Whilst I'm sure gala would be interested in him I'm very unconvinced this will happen.
Gio is probably still a level above Turkish league considering Barca were in for him in the window and I'd hope that we'd not sell them an alternative to Ndombele and have him come back to us.

If we have European games next year Gio probably gets 25 games

Not a priority to move on, but it’s probably the right time to cash in if we get an offer that works both for him and the club. Suspect he could do better than Galatasary though.

Is it just me noticing it, the excess of media poured into our eyeball holes, or is there an increase in really talented young players who's careers are being hampered by chronic injuries from an early age?

Lo Celso & Sess immediately jump to mind but it just feels like it's happening more often than it used to, now that the game has such high demands.

Think it has always been that way, at one point I swear that our youth teams were playing on concrete pitches. Future Spurs coaches Kieran McKenna, Matty Wells and Rob Burch were among those whose careers were over before they started, as well as predicted future superstar Terry Dixon.

It's the same with promising first teams that we sign. Who remembers Korsten was supposed to be the real deal at LW.

With Europe and a decent run in the cups, GLC would have the opportunity to play +25 games. Too bad he will be injured for 15 of them. 😏
