Don't we have first dibs though? United can't go over our heads and sign him unless we confirm we don't want him. And Bale has said recently that Spurs are the only team he'd want to join leaving RM. And if we're to believe recent info, he'd be willing to earn what HK's on to make it happen. I believe if we are serious about re-signing him and if he is to leave Madrid, we'll get him. Lots of ifs.

Well if Bale is okay with Kane wages and we have bid accepted then yes he's ours. However all he'd have to do is say no and then he can sign for Utd on probs close to 100k a week more.

So Bale is happy with Kane wages, and the Spanish manager is taking over Real, and Gareth still cant speak spanish. Sounds like a winner.

Well I think he is definitely off this window now with that appointment from Madrid.
But still don’t see us paying 80-100 mil for a 29 year old, or any player.

I mean I can totally see the new manager wanting to create the team with his vision, Bale is a huge piece in that team and if he isn't in your vision its best to move him on.

True, but – as i said – if it's to be believed, he'd rather play for us. He's probably at the stage of his career where money is no object and he wants to enjoy his football, and he seems to genuinely have a love for our club. But, as we say, ifs and buts.

Things are starting to fall into place somewhat:-

1. Bale goes public with threat to leave for playing time - check
2. Madrid hire a manager that isn't likely to build around him - check

3. Ronaldo stays - tbc
4. Neymar comes in - tbc (may not be necessary)
5. Madrid agree to sell at a fee Spurs can afford - tbc but ITK suggests it's possible
6. Bale is be sweet talked to join Spurs over more wealthy suitors - tbc but ITK suggests it's possible
7. Poch agrees to integrate him as a key player

So still a loooong way to go but a promising start

Focus does seem to be more on him preferring Messi to Ronaldo in the past than anything else currently, indicating it may be the end of Ronaldo. Plenty of twists and turns ahead at Madrid this summer.

1. Bale goes public with threat to leave for playing time - check
2. Madrid hire a manager that isn't likely to build around him - check
3. Ronaldo stays - Because no one apart from PSG (and only if they sell Neymar or don't sign Mbappe) or Oil/Chinese money can afford him - check
4. Neymar comes in - tbc (may not be necessary) - See above - check
5. Madrid agree to sell at a fee Spurs can afford - All in Bale's power, if he says he's only going to Spurs, they have to deal or pay him €600K per week for the rest of his contract - check
6. Bale is be sweet talked to join Spurs over more wealthy suitors - He was born to play for Spurs - check
7. Poch agrees to integrate him as a key player - Poch is a Bale fan - check

So still a loooong way to go but a promising start

Fixed the above for you!

He has a history of deleting tweets such as "Pochettino will be moving to the blue side of Manchester".
The english version of the quote is all over twitter - mostly by Mancs assuming Bale is coming to United.

To be fair, its seems odd that a manager would comment on another team's players (Lopetegui was in Porto in 2015)

I lean towards it being made up.

But, its still not good news for Bale, if he wants to stay in Madrid. Have to think Isco and Asensio are going to benefit from this appointment, and Bale would still be on the outside looking in.

Yeah it's all just coming from this Diego Martinez bullshit merchant. Interesting couple of months ahead anyway.
