The posts in this thread tonight are the most perfect example of the manifestation of a shared psychosis on ITK.

Absolutely bonkers.

In 2015, the man himself said he would welcome Bale back to white hart lane - Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino says the club "are open to receive" Gareth Bale back at White Hart Lane if he is "not comfortable" at Real Madrid. Doesn't sound like someone who isn't keen imo. The stumbling block is what would it take to get him here. We still have first dibs on him don't we?

Sorry, I was being sarcastic because there’s absolutely no way Poch wouldn’t want Bale if it was at all possible.

On a more serious note, I think Bale is positioning himself for a new contract and a guarantee that he will be a starter.

Florentino isn't going to let him leave after 2 goals in a final.

I think ITK is saying it is Poch that doesn’t want him .
Which, I'll be honest, doesn't make sense to me, but I don't know Bale personally and Poch knows a fuckload more about Bale, the current sqaud, his priorities for next season and his plans. But if one of the best players in the world is available and Levy tells Poch that it's do-able, you'd have to think that Poch would say yes. Unless it means that we could no longer strengthen in other, more important areas, I guess.

Again though, I'd argue that the winning mentality is missing from our dressing room. And that's difficult to learn organically, so bringing someone in that has it, that everyone could look up to...? Worth it.

Didn't an ITK on here say Bale doesn't want to leave and 24 hours later Bale is practically issuing a come and get me plea on live TV.

It doesn't sound like he wants to stay whatsoever. I mean if Bale was happy it's a pretty easy response for him to say 'i love it here and have no plans to leave'. To me it sounds like he wants to return to the PL.

Maybe that ITK info was off. Can't see Poch not wanting a player like Bale either. Every manager in world football would want him.

Probably clutching at straws but I hope maybe ITKs have been given a bum steer as we are keeping it under wraps but we do actually want him.

Bale could leave Madrid on a proper high after tonight. Would be a perfect time to leave Madrid.

We’ve had a lot of ITK stating we’re trying to make it happen.
Granted Trix has come out most recently and squashed it all but hey I’m working with what were told ;-)

ITK can very quickly get out of date, even if it was right. Not bashing Herc, just saying. Surely Poch must want Bale

Completely agree. Baffling if he turns down the opportunity.

I assume even RM can't sack Zidan after he's just won the 3rd CL trophy in row. So Bale will either have to put up with playing a bit part or leave.

Bale is in the top 10 players in the world. If we have a shot at him I cannot understand why we wouldn’t. It’s not like we will ever have a chance or opportunity to be in with a chance of a player of this stature. Weird if Poch don’t rate him.

Yeah, would probably be difficult for them to sack Zidane now. Could Ronaldo be on the way out? Both are absolute legends there and the fans love them. Does anyone know how popular Bale is with the Madrid fans? I remember they didn't like for a fair old while.
