He’s going to United, it’s been on the cards since he left us. There were always rumours about him wanting to follow in Giggs’ footsteps, they have the money and prestige and the need for a player like him and in his position. It’s gutting but it’s inevitable.

Bale has already surpassed Giggs achievements imo. He’s played in an international tournament for one thing, and has one European Cup more.

All he needs to do now, is shag his sister in law.

I also believe he will end up at United, but wasn't those "follow in Giggs’ footsteps"- rumours mostly spread by Manchester United supporters?

If Bale wanted to follow in Giggs footsteps wouldn't he have gone to United when he came to us and actually got to play in the same team with him? I don't buy that at all. One thing puzzles me, if he has a big deal with Addidas how would they react to him playing in a Nike kit.

I struggle to believe any Bale to Man U stories. They are all click bait. I’ve read a few stories this morning and they are basing him leaving around the fact that Zidane didn’t speak to him for 3 hours after the game. Failing to say that both were doing media for hours after the game. Zidane did his press conference at 1.30am.

Its like the Man U signing Ronaldo and neymar stories. They’re the biggest club in the world. It’s literally the easiest story in the world to write to get millions of people to read it. Not to say he won’t end up there though obviously.

I'm not buying Bale to United just yet. If they've even put in a bid we're probably still weighing up our options.

Don't Sanchez and Ronaldo basically play on the same side of the pitch ? Perhaps United if they are after Ronnie are admitting that Sanchez is a failure for them and they perhaps want to offload his wages ?

Why not? Better chance of success and commercially more attractive are reasons why financially it could make sense. Look at Chelsea and Nike as an example, they are getting double what we are because they are more attractive than us for Nike. That’s what he could do for us. He could elevate us like no other and hit the ground running. Imagine how excited the rest of the team to be to be playing in the same side as him.

How much do you think he would cost?

Tape over the logo. ;)
It really makes me chuckle why people think the boot sponsors care. Messi wears Adidas and plays in a Nike kit, Ronaldo wears Nike and plays in an Adidas kit. It's the player that sells the boots not the team they play for.

Don't think it's that far fetched to assume we would only get one of the two. In order for Utd or anyone to get Bale we would have to waver our first option. I also can see Poch wanting Martial over Bale because it would allow him to get more of his other targets aside from his younger age.

If Bale goes to Man Utd he’ll probably be played at left back as Jose knows he did a job there once.

I don't see where the notion he will be under 100m comes from. Surely out of our price range

...near the Training ground, yet is signing for Manchester United, or us, or PSG, or staying in Madrid. This thread is where it's all at!

There is some quite conflicting ITK/ contract Info about the whole Bale saga, so it's usually best to just dream of bycicle kicks winning us the league title and CL titles and see how it goes. A nice cool beverage helps... yes even at 10am, only way to survive the Bale thread this summer me thinks.
