Evening SC'ers
I just wanted to give you an update on Gareth.
He will be out for the rest of the season.
My son in law was having a pint with him last night in Cardiff and he asked him how the foot was coming along and Gareth said he will definately be out for the remainder of the season. I gave him a bollocking for not asking him anything transfers etc but he said he'll ask him next Saturday night. That's all I've got for now.
I'm not an ITK type so don't have a go at me about my info.
I hope to have something next week. No guarantees though

About time BAE came to the fore. He'd be like a new signing.

Its not looking good on BAE acoriding to an ITK on COYS, forgot who it was though.

We will have that Cardiff R/Lb in soon so we will have some back up at least.

Does anybody think that Gunter will come straight into the first team? My connections in Cardiff tell me that although Gunter has great potential ( as a right back) they don't think he's anywhere near ready for our first team

Unless we bring in another defender we might see him on the Bench. Talks of Gardner off again and last few games we have had no real defenders on the bench.

Nor are Kaboul, Dawson, Zokora and Huddlestone but they get selected.

And that, in a nutshell, is the difference between the status of Arsenal and Spurs.

They bring in a promising youngster and he'll either be drafted in for the League Cup campaign, or loaned out for valuable experience.

Spurs buy in youth and through necessity, hand them a first team shirt and say "sink or swim mofo".

No at Arsenal they rot in the reserves and then get sold to average teams who get great deals because they have had no premiership experience. Then, after maturing at the average premiership club, bigger, more established premiership clubs come in for them, hence Arsenal indirectly strengthening their nearest rival squads.

Gus Poyet said a few days ago, Bale is out for six weeks and we will see what's happen after that period.

I really hope he will come back before the end of the season and play a big role for winning a trophy at least.

Was one of the best for us when he involved and would love to see him more under Ramos.

Does anbody know what the injury actually is ?

No. But if the rumours are true, seven months for a foot injury sounds like more than a break.

Unfortunately, it could well be ankle ligaments or achilles tendon. But perhaps some of SC's medical experts could speculate more knowedgeably than me on what precisely could be putting him out for the season.

I'll get my son in law to ask him what the problem with his foot is but he definately told Chris that he will be out for the rest of this season. He had one of those big boot cast protector thingys on his foot. He's walking around but that it
