Gary Mabbutt Is A Gentleman

It’s my birthday today. I’m 73.

I’ve just had a phone call from Gary Mabbutt who calls every Spurs member aged over 70 on their birthday.

He was warm, friendly, concerned to make sure that I was well and not in want and just an absolute charm.

It’s amazing that he’s asking after our health problems when he has such serious problems of his own.

I’m proud that he’s associated with our club.

Met him in the 80’s, to do with my job, and he was just as we all think he is. Top bloke and a real Spurs legend

My Dad is in his 70’s and a season ticket holder, but it’s my telephone number and email address associated with his seat. For the past couple of years I’ve received a call from Gary Mabbutt on my Dad’s Birthday and had the pleasure of chatting with him before giving him my Dad’s details.

He is an absolute gent and actually declines some of the leading Diabetes medications / solutions (although qualifying for it due to the severity of his conditions) on the grounds that the drugs aren’t freely available to all via the NHS. Tells you all you need to know about him.

Gary, you are a true legend!
