Don’t begrudge him and his family getting paid. The agent? I’m fucked if that lad, given his dads history within the game, and with his obvious talent, needs an agent, let alone one that absolutely rinses the shit out of you like that.

There’s literally nothing an agent can do to make himself worth that, unless of course you’re really shit and he’s landing you massive moves your talent doesn’t warrant. Clearly not the case here

Imo, based on what's in 'I am Zlatan', I can see how influential Raiola is in getting his players up another level

James Rodriguez to Everton?!?!?
He is a goal every 3-4 game player, got hyped after that world cup but when I’ve seen him play (little) he actually looked a decent player, for Bayern, worked his socks off closing down too. Not sure if the prem is for him but for 45m it’s not totally unthinkable. How the money on transfers has gone in the past 3 years is bonkers but siggi was about 45 million as too Richarlison. So about right really. Would be good to see him in the prem I guess. Can’t see it tho. Fair weather footballer so will stick to the sun and not the Mersey.

Haaland wanted a release clause in the contract and Utd didn't agree to that apparently (don't know if that's just an excuse) but that's the exact same reason Barca didn't take de Ligt in the end. Raiola wants to put clauses into the contracts, most likely so that it's easier to move his players on after a few years and cash in for himself. Disgusting man.

Ozil is 1/7 to sign for Fener on Paddy right now. Seems a bit low for no noise that I've heard of?

Surely a top player doesn’t need such an agent though? In these cases, the choice of agent is interesting. Look at how many moves Zlatan has had. Look at Pogbas behaviour. Perhaps De Ligt will be looking for another club soon?
If you sign a player that’s represented by Raiola you shouldn’t get too attached!

It depends what you think an agent is there for. It's more than just facilitating transfers, and can be for mentoring and general career guidance.

Zlatan is still a top professional, whichever way you look at it, as per his career length and the way he's recovered from an otherwise career threatening injury at a late age.
