Because Paris is a global city with global appeal (God knows why, but that's just my opinion) where they saw a chance to more quickly grow a global brand.
Plus Spanish and German ownership models prevented them from taking control of a club the way they have in those countries.

If memory serves, Eriksen was the alternative to Willian and we wouldn't have signed him if Willian hadn't fucked off to Chelsea. So overall it didn't work out too badly for us...

As an American, I personally think this is too much. Don’t really rate him. Although he does have some promising qualities, he just doesn’t have the killer instinct in front of goal.
