Is Caicedo really £80m better than Bissouma btw?

yes I know fees aren’t everything. But having watched a lot of Brighton the past two years I can’t help but smile that we got our man for so much less. Caicedo definitely a bigger physical presence better defensively but don’t feel he’s the special press-resistant dribbler and passer Bissouma is.

Not the most reliable source but

BREAKING: Liverpool close to agreeing deal in excess of £100m for Moisés Caicedo.

#LFC are pushing for Caicedo to undergo a medical as early as today to seal the move.

- talkSPORT sources understand.

Ridiculous money but it will enable Liverpool to complete the rebuild of their Midfield.

Its a lot of money for Caicedo but when you look that they got Mac Allister for cheap and sent two worn out donkeys to Saudi for excess money they’re way up on the deal.

Prob got uncle Stevie G prepping a 80m bid for Thiago

The reporting on Mac Alister fee was favourable to Liverpool, they will pay minimum £35m, could rise to £55m. It wasn't a traditional release clause.

It looks like you have to spend £125m each summer just to standstill with than amounts the big clubs then Newcastle and Villa are spending.

The Bloke on Sky yesterday said that the money Spurs would receive from the Kane deal would be enough for a rebuild. I can’t believe these people get paid.

Bissouma at £25m really does get better by day.
£110m for Caicedo is bonkers
Very good player at Brighton. Time will tell if he is good at another club. (Caicedo)
I find it weird that the amount of money a player costs equates to how good he is.
Does not always work out that way.

Love that PSG are going to do a real life scenario of ‘put him in the **** reserves’ for one of the best players in the world.

What we’ve all been waiting for.

My “give the god king everything he wants” appears to have backfired.

I do hope they keep their word though. Funny.

Good. Can appreciate his incredible talent, but what an absolute buffoon he is.
Gotta disagree.

He has his contract, he's honoring his contract. He's allowed to leave on a free when his contract ends and he's allowed to not want to sign a new one.

Obviously with that PSG are also allowed to put him in the reserves too but that feels like more of a loss/pain to them than it is to Mbappe.

It is but then people really need to stop obsessing about the money of transfers. Football clubs are billion pound businesses, if Caicedo help Liverpool achieve their goals for the season his cost is irrelevant. There is no "net spend" or "best bargain" trophy in football and if we spent in a similar way under Poch who knows what we might have achieved by now.

what’s weird about that? Isn’t that basic economics. It’s why I can buy a Ford fiesta for £10k and a Ferrari for £100k

I think khe means if a club has spent a load on a player they have to be amazing compared to a cheap option

Bissouma around 25 million
Ndombele around 63 million

You would expect Ndombele to then be the better player, but isn't.
