I was browsing about the OS to see whether there was any information on the Hearts game (regarding tickets or TV coverage) and I browsed about onto the tickets. I was shocked to see that both the Everton & Man City matches we're both on general sale.

I proceeded to click onto Find Tickets and saw limited availability for both games all around the ground, with good availability in the Park Lane near the away fans.

Is that right?

I thought we we're fucked for tickets and that we could fill WHL twice over? I know there's huge demand for big games, but is that correct? First game of the season and there's so many tickets still available. I was trully shocked.

The bubble's burst. I don't go to many games living in Leeds... and to be honest even if I lived in London I wouldn't go to many more as it's an expensive hobby... but whenever I've wanted to go I've always got a ticket through general sale.

Bigger stadium = more season ticket holders, but I doubt we'd fill the ground for most games.

Recession is hitting hard, it costs the average fan around £100 for the day. I fell sorry for families its so expensive. I reckon i will only be able to afford a match every other month.

Football getting to expensive.

To be fair the Everton game is only limited availability throughout the whole stadium - best you'll get is one or two seats here and there.

Man City game is a bit pricy but I'm amazed to see there's still green availability in Block 36 on the Park Lane lower, been there a few times and it's an absolutely cracking spot.

You can't buy two seats together in any of the available zones. That'll stop a lot of people buying them up.

If anything it'd be down to the frustrating season last year. I didn't go much, partly because of money but partly because I didn't want to pay for a game where some of our best players weren't even on the Bench and our plan was going to be lump it up to a player who couldn't hit a barn door.

We can certainly fill a new ground most games with a new stadium. Tickets would presumably be cheaper, which is one thing that stops people going now, and also more season tickets will be sold. Also we'd raise the status of the club and attract new fans, it's a "build it and they will come" thing
