Mario Götze has announced that he’s almost certainly leaving Bayern Munich this summer, and the front runners to sign him are Borussia Dortmund and Tottenham Hotspur.

Well - there's a reason why he's turned into a bit of an enigma for club and country.
He's not used by managers and made no impact for Germany again.
I would trust Poch - but not as euphoric as our contributor.
Even though it's das Bild ( sun equivalent ) German papers do carry more credibility - so this may be true.

I think Gotze could be the German equivalent of Lee Sharpe. All the potential, success and wealth at an earlier age and then his career fizzles out. Teams buy him hoping to sign the player he used to be.

In fairness if you read Pep Confidential (a stunningly good read on the man) then you can see how Goetze may have struggled. I think he would be a great addition to the team, but it ain't gonna happen i think.
