Don't know a lot about him apart from the fact that he got knocked out in the World Cup Final. Probably bollocks but worth a thread.

Any experts on Borussia Munching Hunchback?

Tottenham are in advanced talks to bring German World Cup winner Christoph Kramer to White Hart Lane, according to reports in Germany.

The 23-year-old is currently in the second season of a two-year spell at Borussia Monchengladbach from parent club Bayer Leverkusen and has been scouted by Spurs Technical Director Franco Baldini on several occasions this term.

Kramer, who can operate in a variety of midfield roles, has impressed Mauricio Pochettino and could be the man to turn around the north London club's below-par start to thePremier League campaign.

The talented defensive midfielder has impressed at Monchengladbach but it remains to be seen whether the Bundesliga outfit can find the funds to capture the Germany international on a permanent deal.

That could open the door for Spurs to move for Kramer and tempt Leverkusen to cash in on the player while his stock is still high following his World Cup final appearance in Brazil.

Isn't this the kid who was on the WC squad?

Holding mid who can pass a bit if i am not mistaken....
He started in the final, got knocked out, and was then substituted. Apparently he was immense against Bayern this season. He's currently on loan but his contract runs out next summer.

Just like Holtby....

Good player but I can't see us being the only suitors. He'll end up somewhere else.

This kid is very good and would be a great signing. I think Poch needs to put a little more of his own stamp on things now. If this is it then great

During the WC one of the commentators said he covered the more KM than anyone else in the Bundesliga last season. Obviously got an engine on him.

Have to admit that he sounds like a good player and his call-up to the WC squad was a ringing endorsment of his performances last season.

It seems likely that we won't be signing Morgan Schneiderlin any time soon so this may well be the way to go. We need to move on players like Paulinho and even though it kills me, maybe Dembele as well. Beyond that you'd have to say that only Capoue and Mason are really safe bets in that middle 2. Arguably Bentaleb could go and god knows why Stambouli hasn't played much.

Current CMs: Capoue, Stambouli, Dembele, Bentaleb, Paulinho, Mason, Veljkovic. Not exactly many you would keep, personally I'd only really want Dembele and Mason to stay, maybe Bentaleb as he still has potential.

Wrote this about a year ago, reposted in the Scouting Thread, and now reposting it here (Speaking about Kramer and Granit Xhaka):

Kramer is a player that when I watch I always think he should be able to do more consistently. He shows some flashes in being a box-to-box player but one that can function as a deeper DM and really dictate what happens in the middle. He's a strong passer of the ball, pretty strong in the tackle and he's a pretty solid dribbler as well. The way he and Xhaka play together is pretty interesting. Both have a pretty good understanding of each other and whether one needs to stay back or move into advanced positions. Not really sure if I see Kramer being much of an upgrade on any of our central midfielders at this point. A lot of times it seems like Kramer almost has to stay in the deeper role simply because Xhaka has some really horrible technique and has been racking up yellow cards. I had real high hopes for Granit Xhaka but he just doesn't do enough despite having the freedom to make a mark.

*** I should note, I have not watched him at all this season, so some of the consistency issues may have been alleviated as he has aged and gained more experience.

Could work out well for Pochs team. He is always the players that runs most. Unbelievable work rate. But he wont join us
