I think it's about time that we all made some bold predictions for the summer, and the season beyond. And of course, we must be ready for some glorious highs and some ridiculous hissy fits as the transfer roller coaster chugs on.

I will start with some (not so bold) predictions for the summer. Poch to sign (as if there was any doubt), one or two to follow from Southampton (probably Lovren I would guess). A new left back (please). Regulars to stay put with a few fringe players going (Livermore the most likely, probably a couple of others). Plenty of rumours of star players and speculation about Ade leaving, but in the end it will all fizzle out to nothing and we'll be left with much the same as last season, with one or two solid additions (see above).

As for the season ahead, my expectation and probably bare minimum expected from the majority of fans will be for the Poch to guide us to a top 6 finish, with us playing some exciting football again at times. That for me is reasonable, and should be afforded to the new man when he comes in, without too much bitching (as if).

We will crash out of both the fa and league cups pretty early

We'll all get angry at Michael Dawson and Aaron Lennon and get annoyed that they are still starting games.

We will call poch tactically inept a fair few times whenever we lose :ROFLMAO:

We will all be massively disappointed when the transfer window closes and we don't sign the big names we were linked with because the 'goalposts were moved last minute' big levy out thread ensures

Atmosphere at white hart lane continues to be shit 9 times out of 10

Paulhino and eriksen both score 10 or more league goals

I predict that we won't sign any Southampton players; that it'll be a condition of Pochettino's release that he can't buy any Southampton player for at at least a year.

Why agree to that?

I can understand it with teams that don't want to lose their players, yet it looks certain that their 2 most promising players will leave Southampton

Wow, that's a lot of negativity in one thread. Cheers up chaps, we've seen a lot worse happen than appointing a guy who so far, has done a pretty damn good job in the prem. Let's just give this whole thing a go shall we?

I predict Pochettino's No1 target will be Pedro & we will finish 5th or 6th & play some entertaining football

Last summer I honestly thought with the players we purchased we would have a title charge.

It didn't happen, but with all seven players more or less settled (more than one year ago anyway), and three astute signings, I think we will be there or thereabouts. We most probably won't win it but I think we won't be miles away either.

My wishlist:

Rodriguez at LB.

That is all.

I predict loads of people will go on about our amazing squad being good enough for top four at least. Followed by bitter dissapointment and scapegoating when it's apparent that it really isn't.

We will play a better standard of football though, which is a big plus.

No, I don't think it will be.

I think he will look at the harder targets first tbh
Griezmann (interest died down and it seems arsenal are the only strong linked team, why the fuck they need him I don't know)
Munian (did well under Bielsa and in last year of contract)
and perhaps Isco since it seems Rakitic is going to join madrid leaving 3 players for one spot

Although he's better than all of our current attacking midfielders, we'd have to do an awful lot of selling to make room for him.

Oh, and given that we were our piss poor record against the top 4 away from really doing quite well last season I'm going to go for a strong top 4 challenge with a finishing position of anywhere between 3rd and 6th - which I will be fine with. I really hope Levy tells Pochettino to go all out for a cup (preferably the FA or Europa) and this results in a serious challenge for one.

I predict that, even though Spurs fans insist upon 'good football', and we're about to hire a manager who plays 'good football', people will still whinge about the 'good football' even if we end up losing a game playing 'good football'.

On the plus side, under Poch I'm expecting to actually see quite a bit of 'good football' so that will be nice.
