Don't forget, this story originated from The Star, or some other crap paper. Some twats probably seen Dos Santos hasn't played in the last two games under Redknapp and automatically made up some rubbish that we're looking to get rid of him. I'd expect Gio to be left out for a bit longer whilst we've got a run of performances coming out of the current team now, but he'll get his chance soon enough.

Paper bollocks, they see big phil had said Gio was good enough to play for Chelsea and put two and two together when he meant the player at Hull before they played them the other night.

More very poor journalism

No doubt it is probably paper talk but make no mistake the kid won't be happy to not even make the bench of a team bottom of the league. Remember he was unhappy being on the bench at Barcelona. So i'd expect deep down he'll be fuming to not even be in our 18. He is a talented player but when I heard about us signing him I said many times that I didn't think he'd be a success if he joined us. Of course now he is here I hope we can keep him happy and he can stay and play a big part for us. But I really wouldn't be surprised to see him leave, which would be a shame as he is a talent.

It's just typical paper shit. everytime positive news starts coming out about our club, some drunken old hack makes up a false rumor regarding the club or a player.

I can actually see him being ahead of Kalou (who starts for them sometimes) in their pecking order. Plus CHelsea play a 4-3-3 similar to Barca's. I can see him getting game time there. Hopefully he is starting to settle with us though and won't want to leave just yet.

I would be surprised if Chelsea wanted him based on his performances for us. We need to keep him back, stick him in the reserves and give him the odd sub appearence for a bit, slowly easing him in. Because quite frankly, he's looked shite.

He is nowhere near Kalou standard yet.

I think his size counts against him, not only that but you can't get away with playing Lennon, Modric and Dos Santos in the same starting lineup, the premier league is a land of the giants.

Barca negotiated something like a 20% sell on clause.

Would be very surprised if we were to sell him so early on, with that clause it would take a shed load of money for us to be tempted and I'd be surprised if there was enough in his performances to date that would make Chelsea make a huger offer.

As Roberts84 says - Scholari was talking about the HULL player Gio so a not a Spurs story but......

I thought Dos Santos (we really should call him by this surname to avoid confusion) was excellent when he came on Thursday night. Yes he's lightweight but no diff to Lennon and his situation very similar to Lennon's in his break-through season. Just needs a goal or very good assist to get his confidence going
