CaughtOffside understands Tottenham are seriously considering Sudakov. Inter and Juventus hold an interest, too, but budget may prevent either from advancing anything.

Spurs are on the lookout for a midfielder this summer and also have Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher on their radar. Scouting has shown Sudakov would be a good fit with Ange Postecoglou’s system

Good luck negotiating a fair deal with Shakhtar now though after Solomon!

Another Maddison-esque alternative and not the wide forward we necessarily crave but a talented lad although bear in mind he only signed a contract extension recently (February).

@Trix didn’t want to reply in the other thread but us cooling our interest after signing Bergvall does make sense. Sudakov is a really big talent imo, and I think he is more of a playmaker than Bergvall but essentially they can both play 10 and 8.

I kind of get the feeling that if we look for another playmaker it will be more like an Baena/Olmo/Guðmundsson type who can also play wide rather than an AM/CM. Plus Sudakov will cost a lot and our relationship with SD is not the best.

Just to add, I’m probably not going to do a write up on him unless it’s confirmed we still do have interest (I still need to do the Baena one in full) but don’t get put off by Mudryk at Chelsea or his relatively low assist stats this season, this kid is very talented. His vision and passing rang is excellent and he has the potential to be a really top class playmaker imo.

Would help if the Scouting thread wasn’t closed unnecessarily as I’m sure others will concur.

If we're spending what he will cost for a position that is that far down the priority list then I'm worried.
Before a playmaker I would hope we target a DMC, a Winger and a LWB. We currently have deki and Gio to play the 10 role to back up Maddison and a few youth prospects who can come in to give rest minutes.

Wheres it gone. Was looking for that?
It got moved into the transfer forums and then locked cos people were putting spurious links in, instead of scouting. A&C told people to read the rules a few more times and then just locked it

As per Trix’s latest re nothing new since before Christmas, I would not be particularly surprised if he’s no longer a priority. I’d think the same goes for El Khannouss if any links crop up in the next month or so.

I’d actually say Bergvall is currently the least “playmaker” out of the three and long term I think he will be an 8 but there is a lot of positional crossover.

I would be very surprised if we put that amount of money into a AM.

Just seen this. Seeing as you have the facts and to avoid cluttering the place up, drop me a line by PM explaining why it was "unnecessarily" locked please. I'd love to know.

Because we do make a habit of just doing things like that on a whim.

I think you're right.

But it's a shame as I had an immense chant up my sleeve.
